Courtney's POV:
Shit, I know this was wrong.
This was so wrong. I knew he was as off-limits as off-limits can get. Isabella's childhood best friend. The sweet sunshine of Aiden's stormy sky. Oh, right, did I mention that he liked some athletic, pretty, brunette girl? Did I mention she's gorgeous?
But what can a girl do? Either you go through all those agonizing stages of a crush until you realize he's not that worth it or you just pine forever from a distance. But he's so worth it. Brown fluffy hair, warm brown eyes, a lethal face card, athletic, tall, did I mention he's also super smart? He's practically perfect. I can't get him out of my head.
"-and so he thought I was trying to poison him, which obviously I wasn't but- Courtney? COURTNEY!" I was snapped back to reality as Szarina smacked my arm. "Girl, did you hear anything I said?"
"Ummm... you gave some guy a lollipop and he threw it away because he thought it was poisoned? Honestly, I can't believe he thinks he's important enough to poison." I recalled, smiling a bit.
Szarina nodded, content with my answer. "That's what I'm saying! I can't believe he threw-"
I slowly sunk back into my thoughts again, letting her yap her day away.
Liking someone who's so far away hurts.
