Prologue: Birth of a misfit

We watch as a heart monitor beats slowly There a woman was laying down breathing softly covered in sweat. her eyes were filled with tears as the doctor began to speak.

Doctor: Lady swain I'm sorry to say this but your baby was born prematurely *he taps his board with his pen and twirls it and began to write on his clipboard* we need him to stay here for a month for him to finish developing.

Ume Swain, known in her native navori as Furukawa Ume, the youngest princess in the royal family, and the wife of Jonathan swain son of Jerico swain the current high chancellor of Noxus. she had just given birth to her first child, a son but to her horror she went into labor early and so her son had to be incubated.

her eyes began to weep, as the doctor continues to deliver the news.

Doctor: and because of complications with the childbirth, you cannot afford to have another child, if you do....it would kill you. 

Ume: My son, when can i see him?

Doctor: You can see him now. sir Joseph is already there.

Ume scrambled to remove her blanket the doctors and nurses rush to stop her, as she attempts to stand up.

Doctor: Let the nurses assist you ma'am, please.

Ume: I want to see him.

Doctor: You will please just calm down and let us help you, nurses please get a wheel chair for the lady.

As the nurses gently helped Ume into a wheelchair, her mind was reeling with a mix of emotions - fear, worry, and an overwhelming desire to see her baby boy. she didn't care about the pain she was in she just wanted to see her son, the son she went through so much pain to bring into the world.

The door opened to Joseph who helped the nurses with his wife.

Joseph: Hey hey, Careful Hon, we don't want you to injure yourself, or you won't be able to go home.

Ume: It's not that bad. we get to spend an extra day or so in the hospital, I get to see our baby.

Joseph: We can spend some extra days here, it's a state owned hospital, It's okay right? *looks at the nurses*

Doctor: Well ill arrange for a private room for you to stay and to have the incubator moved there so you would be able to watch over him.

Joseph: Thank you, what's your name doctor?

Doctor: Shen

Joseph: Doctor shen, I thank you truly *shakes the doctor's hand* do you do pediatrics I want to make you my boy's personal doctor.

Shen: if it's regular health check ups and treatments i can be your son's physician.

The two arrived at the nursery, joseph rolling his wife's wheelchair, Joseph helps his wife stand up helping her see over the incubator to see her son's face. her eyes began to water as she weeps in mix joy and sadness seeing her son alive but so fragile and small. Joseph comforts his wife and holds her close.

Joseph: Shhh it's okay he's here that's all that matters he's our son. *kisses his ume's forehead.*

Shen: what name do you wish to give your son? *opens his pen*

Ume: Y/N....Y/N swain *tearfully smiles*
