The metallic tang of unfamiliar liquid filled Y/N's lungs as his vision swam. Consciousness slipped away, replaced by the comforting press of a soft surface. He cracked open his eyes, a brilliant azure sky replacing the sterile ceiling. Warm sand cushioned his body, the gentle caress of a breeze whispering secrets through the dunes.

A figure lay beside him, a woman with fiery red hair and a face etched with serenity. He reached out, fingers brushing a wisp of hair, but the world shimmered. The metallic room returned, cold and sterile. The woman beside him was different now, her hair a vibrant blue, braided tight against her scalp. Her gaze, once serene, was sharp and focused.

Panic prickled Y/N's skin. Another blink, another shift. A desolate snowscape stretched before him, the biting wind whipping around his exposed form. The woman beside him was a vision in white, her hair the color of freshly fallen snow. Each blink became a desperate plea for stability, yet the world dissolved into a kaleidoscope of realities.

Pink hair. Brown hair. Hair the color of twilight, adorned with delicate fox ears. Familiar faces flickered by: Samira, strong and defiant. Riven, his sister, her face etched with concern. Each glimpse was a fresh wave of disorientation, a frantic search for an anchor in the storm.

Y/N jolted awake, gasping for breath. The room swam into focus, the familiar surroundings of his Noxus home a balm to his churning stomach. Riven lay beside him, her rhythmic breathing a soothing counterpoint to the frantic hammering of his heart. A glance at his forearm confirmed his worst fears – the stylized sun of Azir, a permanent reminder of his surreal experience in Shurima.

Y/N: "Damn it," he muttered, the weight of the revelation crushing him. He rose silently, careful not to disturb his sleeping sister. A gentle tug straightened the covers over her sleeping form, his lips brushing her forehead in a silent goodbye.

Y/N: "Need to talk to Dad," he muttered, his voice thick with urgency. With a determined stride, he slipped out of the room, the heavy oak door whispering shut behind him.

Sunlight streamed through the car window, painting golden streaks across the worn leather seats. Today was the day. My stomach churned with a mix of nervous excitement and apprehension. My sister, ever the stoic, sat beside me, her gaze fixed on the receding outline of our Noxus manor. Samira, threw her cigarette outside the window and got in on the driver seat with practiced ease, her laughter echoing in the cool morning air.

Samira: "Looks like I'll be joining you in school, I didn't expect them to allow me to stay in the campus."

As the manor dwindled into the distance, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. It felt surreal to be leaving everything I knew behind. Ever since I was a child, the Academy loomed like a colossus in my life. Its reputation whispered of grueling trials and relentless warriors – a stark contrast to my own reality. Born weak, riddled with illness, I never dared dream of such a path. Yet, here I was, on my way to test my limits, to chase an impossible dream.

now i have it, powers to call my own, I don't have to be living in my family's shadows.

Riven: "How did you convince dad to get you into The academy?" she sat on the seat in front of me in the limo, she had grown a lot from from the little girl that i met long ago "is it true that you have powers now?"

but she's still little, she's 5'5, i'm 5'9 she's still my little sister, even with the demon that she's bonded with. more like bound to her without his consent, she's merciless towards everything who isn't me or kayn or anyone in the family for that matter.

Y/N: "I have, I just don't know how to use it yet, and azir went completely silent now." I shrugged taking a can of ginger ale out of the car's cooler, and opened it, i begin drinking. "Just like our family, my powers came from somewhere else" he Chuckles.

Riven: "Seriously, though," Riven pressed, leaning back in the plush leather seat of the limo, "how'd you swing this Academy thing? Dad practically breathes fire whenever Noxus Academy is mentioned." Her blue eyes, usually sharp and focused, held a hint of playful curiosity.

Y/N: "would you rather have me ask mom? she'd be furious if i told her i risked my life getting this." you replied with a vague smile, taking another swig from your ginger ale. The metallic tang reminded you faintly of the strange liquid in Shurima. "Besides, you wouldn't believe the hoops I had to jump through for Azir to even acknowledge me, let alone give me powers."

Riven: Riven snorted. "Typical. Always the mysterious one, huh? You know, for someone with a fancy new power, you're still pretty bad at explaining things."

Y/N: You chuckled. "Maybe that's all part of the charm, little sis." You used to tease her about her height more, but seeing her grow into such a formidable warrior made it feel... wrong. Still, old habits die hard.

A flicker of something unreadable crossed Riven's face, a fleeting emotion you couldn't quite place. She quickly masked it with a playful shove. "Ugh, don't call me that! I'm not little anymore."

Y/N: "Says the one who keeps trying to squeeze into my clothes," you countered, earning another playful glare.

A comfortable silence settled between you for a moment, broken only by the rhythmic hum of the engine. You stole a glance at Riven. Even though she was adopted, there was no denying the family resemblance in the sharp line of her jaw and the fiery determination in her eyes. Yet, lately, you'd noticed a different kind of spark there, an intensity you hadn't seen before.

Could be because we've been together since childhood, she's been my sister, for as long as i can remember, she's different from that dirty messy punk kid, now it's undeniable that she's gorgeous, any guy or girl that lands her is going to be lucky....lucky to get beat up by kayn atleast.

Y/N: "So," you started, trying to break the silence, "heard rumors Uncle Zed's been extra grumpy lately. Shadow problems again?"

Riven: Riven's playful demeanor vanished instantly. "Don't even get me started. he's always grumpy, especially with him training Kayn, Apparently, he thought he was suppose to be a prodigy "

Y/N: You raised an eyebrow. "Well, someone's gotta keep him active, right?"

Riven: Riven shot you a sidelong glance, her lips twitching into a barely-there smile. "Maybe," she conceded, a hint of pink creeping onto her cheeks....."I'm glad you can finally be there with me" Riven said softly, a barely-there smile gracing her lips. Her eyes, however, held a flicker of something deeper, a warmth that contradicted her usual stoicism.

A shudder ran through the limo, the brakes groaning in protest as the car lurched forward. Riven, caught off guard, tumbled straight into you. Your reflexes kicked in, arms instinctively wrapping around her to catch her fall.

The world seemed to slow down for a moment, the scent of her lavender shampoo and the warmth of her body flooding your senses. Riven's cheeks flushed crimson, her eyes widening in surprise before flickering down to where your hands met at her waist.

The silence was shattered by the unmistakable roar of Samira's voice from the car ahead. You could practically picture her fiery red hair whipping around her face as she unleashed a string of colorful Noxus insults at the driver in front.

You and Riven exchanged a look, a shared amusement dancing in your eyes.

Samira: "Imbecile! You drive a car like a blind badger while drunk on fucking fermented piss!" Samira's voice boomed, laced with enough venom to fell a drake. "Do you have any idea what a colossal waste of perfectly good travel time this is?! We're not on a leisurely stroll through the Shuriman desert, you overgrown slug!" ; she moves the car to park beside the man. "LEARN TO DRIVE JACKASS! YOU'RE FUCKING WITH THE SWAIN FAMILY HERE YOU ASSHAT FUCK YOU!!!!" She drives off after giving the driver the finger.
