"Honestly..." Y/N chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm a first-year, and I'm already hella confused." He offered his hand with a grin. "Name's Y/N, by the way. Nice to meet you."

Lux chuckled softly as she scratched the back of her neck, a little awkward but endearing. "I'm actually a second-year." She giggled, the sound light and infectious.

Y/N thought to himself, She's cute.

Lux's warm smile widened as she took his hand. "Nice to meet you too, Y/N. I checked the database earlier, and guess what? We're housemates and teammates." She tilted her head towards the path. "Wanna head to the dorm?"

"Sure, I don't mind," Y/N replied, glancing back toward his sister and her group. He waved goodbye, catching Akali's playful grin as she leaned forward, watching him go.

"Ugh, I thought I had that one in the bag," Akali muttered, pouting a little. She sighed, slouching her shoulders. Damn, I think I've got a crush...

Riven, smirking as she overheard, nudged Akali. "Nice try, Kali. Get in line" she teased. "Not even a few minutes into the school year, and you're already out here picking up chicks." She sniffed dramatically. "I'm so proud of you." She gave a mock salute.

Akali's confusion lasted a second before realization hit her like a brick, her cheeks flushing red as she shot Riven a flustered look.

Meanwhile, Lux and Y/N continued walking, the two of them soon approaching a group of Lux's friends. A white-haired girl had her hood down, while beside her stood two matching Vastaya—a redhead and one with white hair streaked with a striking red highlight at the front.

"Hey, guys," Lux greeted with a bright smile. "This is Y/N, our new housemate and teammate."

The white-haired girl stepped forward first, offering a kind smile. "Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Ashe." She extended her hand, which Y/N took with a friendly nod.

Next, the red-haired Vastaya chimed in. "I'm Xayah," she said, gesturing to the man beside her. "And this is my brother, Rakan."

Rakan flashed a wide grin, giving a playful salute. "Welcome to the team, man! Hope you're ready for the wildest year of your life. This school is nuts."

Y/N chuckled, feeling the tension ease. "Thanks, everyone. I'm actually excited for it." He glanced at his dorm assignment, a grin spreading across his face. "D-20, huh? What's next, we rolling dice for our rooms? Is this place secretly a DnD campaign?"

"LET'S GOOOO!" Rakan practically yelled, slapping Xayah on the shoulder with enthusiasm. "Did you hear that, sis? The new kid's a DnD player!"

Xayah winced, rubbing her shoulder with a dramatic sigh. "Yeah, Rakan, I heard him. No need to dislocate my arm over it." She gave him a withering look before turning back to Y/N. "Can we just head to the dorm already? I haven't slept at all on the train, thanks to a certain someone who wouldn't stop yapping the entire ride." She shot an exasperated glare at Rakan, voice rising as she emphasized the last part.

Rakan held up his hands defensively. "Hey, I was just keeping things lively."

Xayah huffed, rolling her eyes as she started leading the way. "Yeah, well, you kept me from getting any peace and quiet."

Lux smiled warmly, gesturing for Y/N to follow. "Some of the others might not be around just yet, but you'll meet them soon enough. Be warned, though," she added with a playful glint in her eyes, "most of them are total misfits."

Y/N chuckled. "That's perfect. I'm pretty much a misfit myself. My sister too—we're a bit of a package deal."

Ashe gave Y/N a knowing smile, her eyes softening. "Well, that's good to hear. You'll fit right in with this group of hooligans." She smirked, casting a glance at Lux. "What do you think, Lux? This is shaping up to be an interesting year, huh?"
