Longing For Love [Infinite Fanfic]

Part 20 (Final Part)

Phoebe POV

When we parted from our kiss, I suddenly became very aware of my surroundings and could hear the entire audience cheering us on. When I turned to see how they knew, I saw the cameraman standing behind me waving.

I instantly blushed and buried my head in Myungsoo's chest. Once I had calmed down a bit, Myungsoo took me by the hand and led me out onto the stage once more. The entire audience continued to clap as they stood to welcome us. 

Myungsoo and I both bowed to the audience before he approached the microphone. "Thank you" he paused as he looked around. "I want to thank the organizers of the Awards for allowing me to use this opportunity to propose to this wonderful woman by my side" he looked at me and smiled goofily that I just wanted to pinch his cute cheeks. "To clarify, for those that do not know, her winning photograph 'Longing for Love' is actually a picture of me."

The audience began chattering again. I grabbed his arm and whispered "Myungsoo."

He looked at me and smiled. Then he faced the audience once more and, as my photograph was once again displayed on the screen, explained "This picture was taken when we went to Las Vegas for the weddings of my bandmates. I was unaware that I had been photographed at the time, but I came to find out about it after meeting my fiancé. Her desire to protect the emotions portrayed in this photograph truly moved me because she had no knowledge of who the person in the photograph was. She would have protected whoever it was. Famous or not. This is what made me fall for her."

Myungsoo POV

"I know our fans have only just recently come to terms with two of our members' marriages and pregnancies, and that this will be another shock to them. For that, I am sorry" I paused and bowed once more, which Phoebe mimicked. "I want the fans to know that I am still dedicated to Infinite, Inspirits and acting. My relationship will not stop me from appreciating what our fans have done for us. I hope that they will come to accept my fiancé and my eventual marriage. Thank you" we bowed one last time.

As we made our way to the stairs to return to our seats, the audience slowly started to stand, clap and cheer for us once more. Phoebe and I both began smiling and blushing as we walked up the aisle to where our family was waiting for us.

"Guess someone will need his own apartment soon" Sungyeol joked.

"The boss is already making the arrangements" I replied.

"What?" they all screamed in shock.

"Well we can't live in the dorm with everyone else" Phoebe commented. "That would just be awkward" she giggled and everyone else started laughing along with her.

"So, when is the wedding?" Dongwoo asked excitedly.

I looked at Phoebe and shrugged my shoulders "Not sure. What do you think?"

Phoebe looked back at me, smiled and shrugged her shoulders in reply "Don't know. It might be a while as I have to get everything in order before I can move here."

"Don't worry, June and I will help take care of your resignation" Chris offered.

"I can help you write that resignation letter since I had to do the same not so long ago" Rose chuckled.

"And you will have all of us by your side to help you once you return to Seoul" Angela smiled.

Phoebe POV

As we were leaving the awards ceremony, we were approached by many of the other photographers with questions about my photographs. Even Seongmin, who we had met earlier, came over with his wife "Now it all makes sense" he chuckled. "Congratulations! You truly had the pest picture in the People category."

"Thank you" I blushed a little.

"This is my wife Ahnjong" he gestured to the woman beside him.

"A pleasure" I smiled.

"Your photograph was amazing" she suddenly complimented. "I was really drawn in by the overwhelming emotions that were portrayed."

"It really wasn't my intention" I nervously replied. "I just happen to take the picture at the right time."

"Luck is also a part of talent" Myungsoo commented.

"Would it be okay for us to get a picture with the two of you and the photograph?" she asked cautiously.

"I would love that" I smiled.

We made our way over to my picture that was hang on the wall and lined up for the picture. June and Chris were kind enough to take the photos for us.

Once the pictures had been taken, Myungsoo shyly spoke "Would it be..."

"Oh" Ahnjong perked up. "Don't worry, I don't plan on sharing this on any social media."

"Actually" he nervously rubbed the back of his head. "I was hopping that you could put it up on social media. You don't have to block our faces or anything. You can even mention that Phoebe is my fiancé."

We were all a little surprised by his request. "Are you sure?" Ahnjong asked. "Aren't you afraid of what will happen."

He smiled and said "My agency has already got everything in place to announce my relationship and proposal. I would be honored if you can post this picture so that everyone can see what Phoebe saw in Las Vegas and they can see how happy she makes me."

After hearing what he said, I couldn't help but give him a peck on the cheek. Than I turned to Ahnjong and said "I'd be honored if you could share this picture."

Ahnjong quickly typed up a post and showed it to both Myungsoo and I. "What do you think?"

We quickly looked it over and said "Looks good." With that said, she clicked the post button.

The next day, the entertainment news was filled with articles about us and the company issued the statement they had prepared.

My life has gotten flipped upside down, but at least Myungsoo and I know we won't be Longing for Love anymore.
