Myungsoo POV
I sat there nervously as more people came and dropped off applications. After about twenty minutes, the door to the office opened and a young man came out.
Suddenly, the attendant's phone rang. She quickly answered it and replied "Yes, Ma'am." Then she got up, walked over to me and said "Follow me." She led me over to the office and whispered "Good luck" before closing the door.
"Come over here and let me have a look at what you got" a classy looking woman beckoned from across the room.
I straightened my back, walked over to her and placed Phoebe's portfolio in front of her. "Here you go" I smiled from behind my mask.
"Have a seat while I look at this" she rolled her eyes.
"Okay" I cheerfully replied as I took a seat in the chair in front of her.
She opened the portfolio and began to examine the contents carefully. With each page she turned, her expression softened and she didn't seem as grouchy as she was when I walked in. "This is very well put together" she said as she examined the final photo.
"Thank you" I replied. "I helped my friend organize it."
She looked up at me surprised "This isn't yours?"
"No, It belongs to my friend. The attendant out front asked me if I knew about the photos and asked me to wait."
"I see" she smiled for the first time since I entered the office. "Well, it seems as though she wasted your time."
"What?" I nervously raised my voice.
She chuckled a little "I'm sorry if I scared you. I had asked the attendant to ask people to stay because not everyone is so well prepared and I have had to ask people to verify certain things and to return with proper documentation. Your friend's portfolio is well organized and all the proper documentation is included. I'm afraid my attendant asked you to wait for nothing" she smiled.
"That's not a problem" I chuckled. "I had the time."
She rose from her chair and extended her hand "Thank you for taking the time to submit this work on behalf of your friend. I wish them the best of luck."
"Thank you" I replied as I shook her hand.
Phoebe POV
Time seemed to pass slowly after Myungsoo left.
"When will I be able to see him again" I sighed as I blankly stared at my schedule.
"Who?" Jason asked as he came up behind me.
"What?" I nearly jumped out of my chair.
"Who did you want to see again?" he smiled cheesily "Me?"
I rolled my eyes and mumbled "In your dreams."
"I'd welcome you in my dreams any day" his smile became creepy.
"Unfortunately, you will never see her in your dreams" my brother said as he grabbed him by the shoulder.
"You never know Chris" he smiled "I might just be her type."
"I doubt it" Chris scoffed.
"Oh really?" Jason argued. "What makes you so sure? You dating her or something?" he wiggled his eyebrows insinuating that we had a sexual relationship.
"June" my brother called out behind Jason. "Did you get all that on camera?"
"Yes, Sir" June smiled with her phone in hand.
My brother then turned to Jason and said "If I see you harassing my sister again, that video will be going straight to HR. Do you understand?"
"Whatever!" Jason huffed as he angrily walked away.
"If he harasses you again, let us know" he gestured to June and himself. "We got your back."
"Thanks" I smiled at them. "He's been a real bother lately. Every time I turn around, he is there. It almost feels as though he has been stalking me."
"What?" Chris started fuming.
"Calm down Chris" June coaxed him.
"I think you should move back home" Chris stated. "If he is stalking you, I would feel better if I knew you were safe."
I thought about it for a little bit. "You're right" I said. "I've actually been thinking about moving back home for awhile now. Especially considering my new relationship. I agree it would be safer for us all around."
Chris chuckled "You know, I never even thought about that."
"I think you better start" I smiled in reply. "I don't plan on breaking up any time soon."
"Okay" June interrupted us. "I think we should get to work. There are some concerts in April we need to make plans for."
"Yes Ma'am" Chris saluted.
The month of April seemed to drag on and on. Although we were busy enough handling the concerts we were assigned to, it still felt like something was missing.
"Phoebe!" June screamed.
"Huh? What's up June?"
"I've been calling your name for the past ten minutes. You've been zoned out" she spoke with concern. "Are you okay?"
"I don't know" I replied honestly. "I know it might sound silly, but I really miss him."
"Oh Phoebe" June hugged me. "I understand. It's hard when you can't see the person you love."
"We talk on the phone whenever we get the chance and we text each other all the time," I paused "but I can't help it, I think about him all the time. I want to see him."
June hugged me more "I wish there was more I could do for you."
"It's okay June" I smiled.
"Our flight is only a couple days away. You'll see him soon."
"Right!" I psyched myself up. "I should probably head to the camera store tomorrow and stock up on film" I smiled silly.
"Better buy twice the amount you normally would."
"Why?" I was confused.
"I'm going to need some too" she chuckled as she nudged my arm.
