Chapter 1

Soulmates a thing both fire nation and water tribe believed in, Both two separate traditions to reveal two soulmates to each other.

The Watertribe

Tradition to have your soulmate's name tattooed somewhere on your body, a very few people with highly spiritual energy and knowledge can do this. this is more affordable and available for the common folk as the watertribe believes that love and soulmates is for everyone.

Fire Nation

Tradition to have a portrait made of your soulmate. only rich and royal people can afford this as there are very few people who are able to make these portraits as they need to of course have a lot of spiritual knowledge and energy.

It was 2 years after the 100 year war. Zuko had managed to set up some great things. As he is the firelord and not the banished prince anymore. He could finally get his soulmate portrait done for him.

As he sat in the throne room a woman would come in with the materials to make the portrait. she stood infront of him as she bowed for him. Zuko nodded as she lifted his hand allowing her to stand up.

As the woman would start making the portrait Zuko would start to think. Where would his soulmate come from?, how would her personality be? Is she a bender?

After a few hours the portrait was finished

Zuko would walk over to the finished portrait as he looked at it, observing it. He smiled as he looked at the image, it was quite obvious she is from the water tribe. She is smiling brightly on the portrait, she seems like a sweet person from the portrait. (The image of the chapter is the portrait)

He would thank the woman giving her a small bow as gratitude. He held the portrait in his hands smiling to himself, he would walk over to her and would give her a small bow out of gratitude

The woman left, Zuko would immediately go to where he could schedule a trip to the Northern water tribe. He wanted to find her as soon as he could, the faster the better.

A week went by as Zuko was now on one of his ships on his way to the north pole. As they neared the city of ice Zuko would stand on deck his hands on the railing. It had been quite a long time ago since he was at the north pole, back then he would still be banished and chasing the avatar. He chuckled a bit as he would look at the big ice city, he wasn't alone on this trip. He asked Aang and katara and the rest of the squad.

Aang soon joined him on deck as they were getting closer. Aang patted his shoulder "you must be excited for you to meet your soulmate" Zuko nodded as he looked at Aang for a moment "its quite interesting that last time we were here i was trying to capture you" he said

Aang snickered a bit "yup! Now you are here for someone else" Aang said

They finally got to the gate and the waterbenders on top would bring the gate down and escort the ship with them inside the city. When it was time to get off the ship Fire lord Zuko would be greeted by the chief. They both bowed for each other out of respect. The chief then spoke "Fire lord Zuko it is an honor to have you here" Zuko nodded "i am glad to be here" he said

The chief smiled "May i ask what brings you here, i can guess it is important since it is a long journey from the fire nation to the North pole" Zuko smiled "I am looking for my soulmate" he said as he would wave his hand to one of the servants on the ship as they hurried to get the portrait.
