💎 Jeonghan 💎

"What's your plan now? It is clear that she is intentionally avoiding you.", I said to Josh, but he didn't reply.
"Dude, are you listening?"
Still no reply.
"Dude..." I got his attention after a slap on his thigh.

"What??", he asked in an annoyed tone.

"Nothing. You can continue being zoned out.", I replied and started scrolling my social media feed.

"Jeonghan", he took a deep breath in and continued, "I'm not sure why, but I'm already agitated and angry. So just let me know what it is, please."

"I was just asking about your plan. How are you going to reconcile with her? But never mind. We can talk about that later."

"I couldn't think of anything right now. I feel suffocated and bad-tempered.", he replied, a little discomposed.

"From when do you feel so?", I asked him. I haven't ever seen him like this.

"I was fine when we boarded the flight. I believe it was sometime after take-off."

"By any chance, did you hear Chan and Y/N's conversation?", I asked in a lower voice than before. I don't want those two behind us to know that we talk about them.

"Why do you ask?", he asked slowly, a little bit confused.

"Answer me first. Yes or No?"

"Yes. But what does that have to do with this?", he asked, and I could feel the tension in his words.

Does that mean he is upset about that? Oh god! He is feeding my doubts more and more.

Let me test him once more. It will be too tricky for him to figure out anything.

"Nothing. I just asked you. Leave it. What do you think we will have for dinner? I'm hungry.", I tried to change the topic.

"How could you think about dinner already? Didn't you eat something an hour ago? Tsk. Whatever. That's not important now. Tell me why you asked about their conversation.", he asked.

"All I was trying to do was distract you so you could calm down. But the topic didn't seem like a wise decision. So, I stopped.", I lied.

"Thank god, you did. How could she talk like that?", he replied with a serious tone.

He took the bait.

He continued, "It's understandable that she is angry with me, for god knows what reason. But she is on good terms with all of you, isn't she?"

"Of course, she is. But she doesn't seem to enjoy our company."

I added some fuel to the fire of jealousy. Haha.

"That's my point. Doesn't she enjoy hanging out with us? How could she not appreciate the presence of EIGHT people and be bothered by the absence of that one person?"

This guy is too bad at framing sentences.

What he truly meant is, "That's my point. Doesn't she enjoy hanging out with ME? How could she not appreciate the presence of ME and be bothered by the lack of that one bloody bastard, CHOI SEUNGCHEOL?"

"Dude, I think, we shouldn't be bothered by this. Everyone has favourites.", I said calmly.

"I'm not bothered. I'm just talking on behalf of you.", he said, adjusting his posture to a relaxed one, trying to act cool. But, honestly, it didn't work out.

"But it doesn't look like that.", I mocked.

"Leave that. Now, I need your suggestion on this: Do I need to reconcile with her?"

I was stunned when he asked me this question out of the blue. This is not what I guessed but the total opposite.

"I'm taken aback. Weren't you the one who was desperate to reconcile with her? That was the reason you planned the entire damn tour. What on earth happened to make you reconsider?"

"Yes, I was. Yet, I can't stand it when she treats me like a piece of garbage. Am I invisible to her? There is a limit to everything.", he said, a hint of crimson colouring creeping up on his face.

"Dude, calm down. One shouldn't make any decisions while being angry."

I pushed a water bottle into his clenched fist so he could drink some water from it.

He gulped the entire bottle of water in just a few seconds.

"I had hoped that she would at least say hello during the trip. In contrast, she is behaving as if I'm a stranger."
As he spoke, disappointment took the place of anger on his face.

"Come on, we've only just begun our trip. There are still three whole days left. Be patient and optimistic.", I said.

"First, I have to figure out what went wrong. I'm going insane not knowing that.", he said, sinking into his thoughts.

I don't understand this guy's mindset and intention. What is he up to? Why are his thoughts and emotions changing so rapidly? This is not the Joshua I knew.
