Hot shot has had a life saving heart transplant about a year ago. Hot shot is doing very well. He still sees his doctors on a regular basis. It is to make sure he is doing alright. Hot shot's doing well and taking his medication every day. Hot shot was very happy too. He was going to school. He was even spending time with his friends as they were in his class too. That made Hot shot very happy. It also made his friends very happy too.

Hot shot didn't know this fine day in June his wish was going to come true. What Hot shot wished for was a border collie puppy. Hot shot was heading into his backyard to play and his parents were going out with him. Hot shot saw all kinds of people there, they were from the make a wish foundation. "Hot shot your wish has been granted," the wish coordinator said.

Hot shot saw all the puppy supplies. Hot shot saw the little puppy that was put in his arms. Hot shot remembers watching Mist sheepdog tales which was about a border collie. The puppy was a black and while rough coat female. "She looks just like Mist from the tv series," Hot shot said. The puppy was wagging her tail and licked Hot shot's face. "You're Misty," he said laughing. It was big belly laugh.

"That's a cute name," the make a wish coordinator said.

Hot shot placed the collar on Misty with Heatwave's help. Hot shot giggled and was petting and cuddling Misty. Misty began to adjust to her new home. Hot shot and Misty began to bond closely very quickly. Hot shot was playing with her and training her. His parents helped with the training.  Hot shot was very happy to have Misty. He loved her very much. He loved to play with her a lot. Misty would cuddle with him as they slept.

Hot shot was growing up very healthy and Misty was growing with him. They were very close and happy. Hot shot was beginning to play sports and was able to do it without getting tired. Hot shot was so happy to be able to run jump climb and play without any issues. Hot shot still had to see his cardiologist and see Dr. Erret and his other doctors as time went by. It was just in case he might have issues with his new heart like rejection or if he needed another transplant if the current one wasn't working. But it was going well as Hot shot grew. His heart was nice and strong.

Hot shot and his parents maintained contact with Tony's family. They were all doing well and became good friends too. They were all very close. They even gave each other gifts at Christmas. They also found time to write each other or talk on the phone.

Hot shot soon was all grown up. He still had Tony's heart. He was 18 years post transplant. He was very strong and healthy. Hot shot was now even playing as a Kansas City Royal. He was now a baseball player. He was very proud and strong. He helps inspire and encourage his fans to do their best and not give up.

He was going to keep taking care of his heart and he knows he might need another transplant someday. But for now he was happy and healthy. He was going to remain strong no matter what happens.
