Appearing on the streets, cherry blossoms at the bottoms of her shoes, the town out of nowhere, after Seonghwa made you magically disappear. Running to one of the buildings that she wouldn't be found. Quickly into the clothing store that her butler went to a few days ago.
The store lady saw her panicking and asking, "What's wrong miss?" Y/N's eyes showed fear when explaining to her. "Please help me, the circus people want to capture me. They got Seonghwa!" her voice tone wasn't faking anything when she heard her out. being worried for the girl. The lady nodded and letting the mistress head in the back to hide with the curtain covering the break room. Handing her a blanket, a glass of water and food to snack on.
"Here you go miss."
"Thank you." weakly speaking with hands shaking when setting the hourglass down. How those people want her and finding Seonghwa. Help to rescue him. "I'm sorry to hear that Seonghwa wasn't able to escape with you. He's always been a sweet young gentleman to you." the store lady was right about that. The butler had always been there for his mistress. In lessons, family, and for her. "He was the only family I have and now he's gone." tears wanting to storm out of her tear ducts.
The store lady didn't think so when she remembered what Seonghwa said on the day he picked up the order for Y/N. "You would be surprised by that young man. I think he's capable to defend on his own because of you."
Y/N looked up seeing her smile of comfort that made herself feel safe. "You think so?"
"I know so."
In that moment, the bell from the door rang, hearing it made Y/N submerged in her panicking again. Whispered in a worry, "They're here." the store lady worried for the young mistress as she quickly grabbed a bag, extra clothes for all needs, food that can last for a few days, and a few water bottles. "Take this and head through that door. I'll stall as long as possible."
"Got it." watching the lady head to the front. passing through the curtains while Y/N was placing the Cromer inside the bag as well. Hearing her welcoming the guest. "Hello there sirs, how may I help you on this fine night?"
"We're wondering if you've seen a young woman around here with an hourglass." it sounded like Mingi and another clown friend she never seen before.
"Oh no, I haven't sadly. I was about to close up shop for the night."
"Is that so?"
Hearing the conversation, Y/N quietly and quickly heading out the back. Closing the door slowly and picking up the pace to run off. Where no one would ever find her.
The forest where she can meet her parents.
As she ran, tears were forming and streaming down her face. Thinking about her parents made her cry of how she lost them. Just like in her dream of how it happened. A car crash of no warning at all. "Mom, dad, please help me and Seonghwa." tears making the vision blurry as the cold breeze hit the warm cheeks of the face.
By the time the forest is lessening, the view clears itself of a stone entrance and iron bars above the hedges with white lilies. Entering through the gate and closing it behind her. Y/n could finally take a breather and walked along the stone walk way. Small overgrown grass between the cracks while admiring the different tombstones of how each one lost someone.
Once the mistress found her parents' single stone hedge, she read the names to herself and the description that they want their daughter to live happily without them. Loving her from above and the people around her. "I miss you mom and dad. I hope you're doing alright. I wish there was a way to save Seonghwa from the circus."
Wiping the tears away, Y/N had to be strong and find a way back to the circus and save Seonghwa. She can't go on without him. The feeling of loneliness would swallow her up.
Curiosity peeked out her when she sat on the ground in front of the stone hedge. Letting the air around her still. Eyeing at the tree behind the stone hedge in its peacefulness. Crawling on her hands and knees following the tree roots, there was a hidden entrance inside the tree. "Wait," inside the tree looked familiar, "I was here when I visited with Seonghwa that one day."
Old memories swarm around her mind when her butler found her. She was crying when it was raining on the day her parents wasn't with her anymore. Touching the wooden images that she marked on the inside of the tree with the man, of an hourglass that Seonghwa scraped. "Is that the Cromer?" She pulled the Cromer from the bag she was carrying. Lifting it to the carved image of it.
"Why did Seonghwa carve that? Does this have something to do with all eight of them together that deals with dimensions?" Y/N had so many questions when placing the Cromer back into the bag, hiding inside the tree. Trying to connect how the hourglass work for them at the circus or anywhere. Analyzing the carved images once more.
That another one appeared with a note that looked fresher than the other carvings.
If you ever read this go to my room and find the box under my bed.
"But he said not to go back home. Did he know this would ever happen to us?" risking his own life for her protection.
However, it was Y/N's turn to protect her butler. Crawling out of the tree and bowing respectfully to her parents' hedge. It was gonna be a while to head back without being notice with Byeol smelling her out. "Mom, dad, after this is over, I'm coming back here with Seonghwa. Showing we're safe so you won't have to worry that I'm not alone anymore."
Dreading to go back home when turning around to the front entrance, leaving the resting place. Traveling on another path that leads to her home. A private one if the two of them visits to respect the parents. "Here goes nothing." taking a deep breath with each step that the danger will be coming towards both of them.
"I'll save you Seonghwa."
