The Valkyrie of his Heart (Percy Jackson x Valkyrie reader)

1) 𝐿𝑒𝒶𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔?

You bowed before Odin, wondering as to why he had called you to him.

"Rise young one." You did as told and tried not to seem as nervous as you were.

"Is there a reason you called me here ..sir..? Lord..?" You furrowed your brows to try and think of the correct title as Odin chuckled upon his throne.

"Of course there is.. I have gotten word from my brother that he needs some help down in the mortal realms about some kid your age. Zeus said he needed a protecter for a half-blood and I was wondering if you would like to do it?" Your eyes widened and you thought about the stories you've been told, your wings twitching a bit. "You'd set out tomorrow and let you pick out some clothes with a goddess of course, we need you to look like a mortal of course. You'll pick out your raven and you'll get your Pegasus tonight." You contemplated for a bit then spoke up.

"But what about my family? Do they know and like how would mortals not see my Pegasus? Is there somehow she can be transfigured into something else?" Odin cut you off and he chuckled once more.

"Your mother already knows and is ok with it. As for your Pegasus it can be arranged to turn your Pegasus into another animal when you need it. I'm thinking something small.." "A dog!" "A kitty," You deflated a bit then nodded to his words, it wouldn't be SO bad to have a kitty, maybe you'll be able to see a dog.

"So your Pegasus won't be a full grown of course, probably no older than you," You nodded as he finished giving you the details.

"Come see me at 8 pm to pick your crow and Pegasus, ok?" You nodded and bowed once more after being dismissed. You flew home and landed on the balcony as your mother was waiting for you.

"So I assume you agreed?" You nodded and sighed. "I need to leave at 8 pm sharp to get my crow and Pegasus.

She nodded and looked at you, small tears forming in the corner of her eyes. "You remind me so much of myself.." You internally cringed but savoured the attention she was giving you, she never really did anyways, always to busy with her work or to tired.

"Mhm.. thanks mom," She walked up to you, her beautiful wings stretched out as she stroked your cheek. "I have some things for you child, follow me." You did as she told and walked into her bedroom, looking at all the books and stuff she had laying around.

She grabbed a few books from the shelf and a few boxes and sat on her bed, motioning for you to sit near her. "Here are a few books to learn about the new world and I have some stuff for you to remember me and help you for.." She first handed you a silver amulet with an emerald gem in the middle of it.

Next was a gold cuff with obsidian lining on it along with a matching dainty headpiece. Last was a pair of golden daggers, dark red at the tip with an ombré effect into black along with silver jewelled lining.

You look at the gifts then back at your mom, slowly hugging her as you start to fully realise your leaving everything. Your home. Your friends. Your job.

Your mom lets you go then kisses your forehead, leaving as she was announcing she was making all your favourite food and you start to pack for the next day, not much stuff that you could take but you packed the gifts, apart from the books, your staff, and some accessories for your wings that you like and are special to you.

You sigh and grab you small satchel and two of your rings knowing you had to say goodbye to your last two friends. "Y/N! YOU'RE CHIKEN NUGGETS AND STUFF ARE DONE!" You bound to the dining area and stare in an amazement at all the food, the chicken nuggets and other foods already made.

Did you fall asleep or something? That was awfully quick.. Probably the author being to tired and lazy to care about it..

You smiled and immediately piled some of each of the food on your plate, eventually eating as much as you could as your mother smiled.
