3) 𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒯𝑜𝓊𝓇?

He closed the door behind him and smiled at Mr Brunner. 

"Hi sir, is this the other protecter?" Mr Brunner smiled and nodded. "Yes Grover and I'd appreciate it if you could show Y/n here around Yancy? And tomorrow please pick her up from her dorm.. Word from her mom is that she likes to sleep," Grover smiled and nodded, taking your schedule and looking it over as he nodded. 

"So I guess you put me and Y/n in together along with Percy?" Mr Brunner nodded and cleared his throat. "I was also wondering Grover if you could tell Y/n about some of the things we've been discussing?" Grover nodded and you stood up, brushing off your jeans And stretching your wings. 

Grover stared at them and oohed, not really having seen a Valkyrie at all. 

"So hi Grover! It's nice to meet you!" You held out your hand for him to shake which he did. "Same for you! Here let's go, I'll show you around," You nodded and walked to him, waving goodbye to Mr Brunner as you and Grover started walking. "I like your wings by the way," You looked at them in surprise.

"Really? Thank you! You should see the other Valkyries though, their wings are SO pretty like I need their routine! But I do really like to decorate them, I just got some new pearls today!" Grover chuckled and nodded.

"Oh we're going to have to make a few stops so I can collect my work for the rest of the day," You hummed and nodded. 

"Ok but anyways, welcome to Yancy. Founded in 1896 for the troubled kids of New York!" He said that last part a bit.. bitterly? You shrugged it off though as he continued. "Thankfully we don't have uniforms or anything," You chuckled and looked around the place. 

"Sooo is there anyone I should be warned about?" You asked him as some people gave you questionable stares. "Well there's Nancy.. she bullies me and Percy for some reason so her and maybe Miller, he's been known to be a bit of a perv to some kids but once he gets the message he backs off.. for the most part but anyways! Here's my english class, stay out here for a second please," You nodded as he went Into the room, hanging by the lockers as you looked around. The hallways smelled like.. something, there's teachers outside of the bathrooms for some reason, and every time you walked passed the bathrooms it smelled SO weird.. Suddenly you were wishing you were back home now. 

Grover came out after a bit and closed the door. Well let me just show you everything in order, I'll pick you up in the mornings though so you can get used to the routine with everything. First stop is the cafeteria!" He started walking with the few papers in his hand. 

"So this is where you eat breakfast lunch and dinner, and if we don't have any subs for the teachers you usually do whatever in here.." You nodded slowly. "Why do they needs those sandwich things to be here?" Grover slapped his forehead and chuckled.

"No subs are substitutes in the slang words at school I guess, I didn't get it at first either, the mortal world, or Midgard as you call it, is complicated but it works!" You nodded as a loud tune played, a bunch of kids coming into the hallway as Grover held your jacket sleeves to keep you with him. 

"So this is the part in between classes where you move from one to another! It gets loud but here, this is geography on your left! And then pre-algebra two doors up!" He said slightly shouting as the hallways eventually got emptier.

"Sorry about the yelling, it gets kinda loud in here during switch periods," You rubbed your ears and looked at him. "A little?! That was loud as hell man!" You said as you side-eyed some kids talking around the lockers loudly. 

"But anyways here's science, unfortunately Latin is in the whole other side of the school so we better hurry," You nodded and sped walked down the halls and up the stairs with him. "It gets easier navigating once you get the hang of it though,"

"Yea I think that's what 'get the hang of it' means Grover," You joked with him as he smiled.

"Yea haha, but down that hall then all then you turn to the right, then way down the hall that way again is the Latin classroom, you'll know it's the class because Mr Brunner is outside the door," You nodded and noted that. "But five doors down on the left is the library  also the entrance is located downstairs for the lower floor of the library, we use it for study hall and sometimes free period." You nodded and follow him downstairs, taking a few turns before you got to the gym, the bell ringing again as the same process started, just you guys now going to the dorm buildings.

"Ok! Last but not least is the dorm buildings! Each grade stays in the same building but its stay on the left side and girls are on the right side, it connects to a laundry room and small common room which is shared between the boys and girls, I think that's it but school ends in a little bit so I can help you unpack and everything, if you want of course!" You smiled at him and grabbed his hand, dragging him up to your room and looking at it and all the boxes. 

"Well give me a second.." You unpacked a bookcase and let Grover help you put it on its side, grabbing the other two small ones and making it a rectangle shape as you put a few bed beams from the bed pack across, laying the mattress down with a f/c silk sheet, a f/c silk pillow, and a matching fluffy tye-dye blanket, flying up to hook a canopy on the canopy hook as you boxes the empty boxes into a bigger box. 

"Well thank you grover! You can go for right now but I really appreciate your help!" He nodded and left, coming back in with a small bag of cookies that he forgot he had until he saw it on his nightstand. 

You cooed and thanked him, sending him back out as you opened another box, watching as Kolaus jumped out of it as you jumped out. 

"Oh my gods, Kolaus what were you doing in there?!" You picked him up and placed him on your now elevated bed. "Let me see if they have another blanket.." You quickly pulled out the "fairy lights" that Hera let you get knowing you'd get a room. 

You placed it under your bed along with a makeshift bed for Kolaus who immediately curled up in it. "Well glad your all good now," Yku threw the bags away and started to put your clothes away, looking at the clock on the wall and squinting your eyes 2:34.. well shit I better sleep!" And that was all you did that day as you quickly changed into your pj's, getting under the blanket (after stubbing your toe trying to get up) and closed your eyes, slowly but surely falling asleep.
