Isla's POV:
I'm on my way home, mama and mum are in the front. Jackson is on his way to play Luton but I'll be watching it from my bed. I'm still in a little pain but that's completely normal. My final tests and scans all came back clear so I'm healthy apart from my leg. Just a fracture which will heal in a few weeks.
Mama helps me upstairs and into my room. To lay down in my own bed is the best feeling in the world.
I watch him play so well with the boys. Noah gets a goal and he celebrates with Jackson and Lucas. All three of them run to a camera and show love hearts with their hands. I love all of them so much.

I end up falling asleep after the game finishes. My body is still so tired. I wake up to Jackson laid next to me scrolling on his phone.
Jackson: "hi beautiful."
Isla: "hiiiii"
Jackson: "I missed you."
Isla: "I missed you more, you played so well today."
Jackson: "just today?"
Isla: "every day you div."
I go to sit up but I wince in pain.
Jackson: "stay laid down"
Isla: "I need to sit up"
Jackson: "okay"
He helps me sit up and then plants a small kiss on my lips.
Jackson: "you have no idea how good it feels to have you home."
Isla: "I know, it feels good to be home."
Jackson: "I bet it does, now what movie do you want to watch?"
Isla: "I don't mind, you pick"

Jackson picks a movie, I cuddle into him whilst I watch it. I notice him looking at me whilst smiling every now and again. It's so good to be home.

The next day I decide to post on instagram about the crash. Mama reads over it before I post it.

Gooners,
Sorry I've been so inactive lately, I got into a car crash 2 weeks ago which put me into a coma. I'm recovering well and I'm now home surrounded by my family and boyfriend. Be patient with me whilst I'm on the mend, I'll be back on the pitch in a couple of months. ❤️

The next few weeks are a bit rocky. I'm still in some pain but I'm now off bed rest. I'm walking around on crutches because of my leg but still being cautious. Today I'm going to the training ground to let the medics have a look at my leg and stitches. Mama is coming with me so I'm not alone.

Medic: "your leg is healing nicely, and your stitches are almost ready to come out. You should be back on the pitch in a couple of weeks."
Isla: "weeks? Not months?"
Medic: "2 weeks, once your cast is off we will assess it then."
Isla: "okay, thank you."
Leah: "I told you it would all be okay."
Isla: "yeah."
Leah: "weeks sweetheart, weeks."
Isla: "I thought I'd be out for months."
Leah: "I know, this is great news."
I smile whilst getting off the table. I grab my crutches and head towards the lunch hall. All my teammates are in there and I haven't seen them in a while.

Jessica: "ISLA!"
Everyone runs over to me.
Rachel: "we all miss you around here, how are you?"
Isla: "doing a lot better."
Jessica: "I'm so glad"
Isla: "I should be back in training in a few weeks."
Katie: "that's great!"
Isla: "I miss you all."
Jessica: "a few weeks mate, a few weeks."
Isla: "I know, I've got to go, mama is waiting for me, I'll message you all okay?"
They all hug me before I leave and go towards the car.

Mama and I head home. The twins are there when we get back. I fill them in on what the medic said and they are so thrilled. Still a long road to recovery but it's a lot shorter now.

A few weeks later, I'm back in training. Not full team training but I'm out on the pitch kicking a ball and getting back used to playing again. Afterwards I see Jackson waiting for me.

Jackson: "look at you go!"
Isla: "feels good."
Jackson: "no pain or anything?"
Isla: "no baby, no pain."
Jackson: "good, right, go get ready, I'm taking you out for dinner, I'll pick you up at 6.30"
Isla: "how ready do I need to be?"
Jackson: "fancy."
Isla: "okayyyy, I love you."
Jackson: "I love you."
I kiss him before walking off. He still has some bits to do before he goes home.
