Aboard the Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighter the Nightbrother, Ahsoka Tano opens her eyes and finds herself lying on a resting chamber of the ship, and she looks around the room, seeing many colorful illustrations, some depicting artwork of armored Mandalorians, rebellion insignias and some familiar images of two Jedi...
Ahsoka gets up and heads to the cockpit of the starship, where she finds the familiar face of a young Mandalorian woman she recognizes from her time with the crew of the Ghost-
"You're Sabine, I take it?" Ahsoka says calmly to which the short haired warrior would nod as she turns around with a weary expression-
"I owe you my thanks for rescuing me from Malachor... but how did you find me-? I strictly told- no one else knows about where we went."
Sabine frowns before responding, "Then it's a good thing Chopper never made that kind of promise- it took me forever to get him to grumble out about a possible location where... well, I found you, and that's important."
Ahsoka narrows her eyes and slowly states, "You were hoping to find someone else...a missing friend perhaps?"
Sabine looks up at her with a skeptical stare, "How did you figure that out, some Jedi force trick?"
"No, you just have a frustrated look which I'm accustomed to." Ahsoka grins briefly before shifting back to a serious voice,
"What have I missed? How is... Ezra and the rest of Pheonix squadron? Are they safe on Atollon?"
Sabine grimaces before looking down, "You've... been down there a very long time... I don't know how to say this but... everything's changed."
Ahsoka sighs as she looks out into the hyperspace flowing by, "I thought as much. I... was told of such change- everything to do with...Kanan... your troubles with the Empire on Lothal- where is Ezra? I promised to find him-"
The Togruta former Jedi then notices the Mandalorian artist glance back up at her with a look of true sadness,
"You don't understand... There's so much to explain... I'm not sure I'm the best person to tell you..." Sabine says slowly-
Ahsoka stares back at her with a puzzled expression, "What has happened-? How long have I been on Malachor?"
..."-After Ezra disappeared with Thrawn, the remaining rebels on Lothal were able to liberate the planet from imperial forces-"
"The planet killing superweapon, the Death Star was destroyed by the future Jedi, Luke Skywalker-"
"At the battle of Endor, both the Emperor and his enforcer, Darth Vader were killed before the destruction of the second Death Star, crippling the Empire-"
Ahsoka sits in her quarters after hearing Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren and the blue RA-7 protocol droid, AP-5 explain what had occurred since then, while taking note of the young five-year-old boy playing in the other room with the astromech droid, Chopper-
Ahsoka closes her eyes and takes in some air before quietly responding, "I do not understand...how could I have been stranded on Malachor for seven years-?"
Before Hera or Sabine could answer, AP-5 speaks up in his monotone voice,
"It's quite easy to explain really. You see, the barren planet you were stuck on has a different rotation cycle than most of the galaxy- meaning time passed faster the longer you stayed there."
Ahsoka clutches at her head, still having trouble processing everything, "The Empire is gone... Vader...Obi-Wan... how could I not have felt it-?"
Hera rubs Ahsoka's shoulder gently, "If you were stuck on such a dark planet then it might've been difficult to connect to anything... Kanan told me about that..."
