That night, they all went to the entrance of the cave. Hilda was standing outside it.
Hilda: "Mum?"
Johanna: "Hilda!"
Johanna hugged Hilda.
Hilda: "What are you all doing here?"
Thomas: "We came to look for you."
Percy: "We were worried."
Johanna: "You've got to come back to Trolberg."
Hilda: "I can't. I like it here better than the city."
Edward: "Come on, Hilda, surely you don't mean that, do you?"
Hilda: "Maybe?"
David: "We're your friends."
Frida: "We care for you."
Kaisa: "We'll always be there for you."
Twig made a cute face towards Hilda.
Hilda: "I just can't. I'm sorry."
And Hilda back into the cave.
Johanna: "HILDA!"
But it was too late. Hilda was gone.
Edward: "Oh, dear."
Thomas turned sad.
Thomas: "Come on, guys. We're going home."
