Time had passed since Hilda left. Thomas was writing in his diary.
Thomas: "Dear Diary, Hilda is now living with the trolls. It's really sad how the times have changed since the incident 6 months ago. Since then, I have to watch my buffers every time I leave Trolberg. And I always have to switch the points away from the mountain whenever I have to make deliveries. Edward hasn't been doing too well. He misses Hilda as much as Johanna does. Erik Ahlberg retired from Safety Patrol because he was so sad, and Deputy Gerda is now in his place. I also miss Hilda as much as everyone else. The trolls tried to attack several times, but we managed to stop them. I've still got Percy and the others for support. All I want is to get her back one day, but I'm too scared to even go near that mountain. One day, I'm sure she'll come back. Oh. And I also had a strawberry milkshake from the Sodor dairy. It was delicious. That's all for now. I'll write more to you later. Sincerely, Thomas."
Thomas signed. He missed Hilda so much. He wished he could see Hilda again, but going inside the mountain was too dangerous nowadays. He decided to pass by the mountain and see if it was dangerous.
But that'll have to wait for another day.
