Kiri saw awful and amazing things he saw the awful and fragile state the kids were in but he also saw them running to there parents and hugging them like they would never let go
He wanted that he wanted a kid to hold he wanted to stay up late and feed them he wanted a baby to love
So as soon as he came back he dropped his bag and as you walked up and Suki stayed sat on the couch he spat it out

Everything stopped
