The warm sand bellow was like a pillow beneath the two individuals that were laying on their backs, silently watching the stars twinkle above them. Not a single star outshined the others, as every single one of them were beautiful in their own way.
The night sky never failed to amaze. It felt as if for once, they had the peace to not stress about the situation that they are in, nor to think back about the horrible crash.
But as hard as they tried, they couldn't stop thinking about their loved ones, especially Jungkook.
'Is Namjoon Hyung looking for me...?' Is he worried? Does he know?
The thoughts and questions, that the raven haired held in his mind, were never ending. A continuous loop of brain eating cycles.
He just wished, that there was some kind of a way, that he could tell Namjoon that he's okay. He knows that he'll blame himself, and destroy himself for persuading Jungkook to get on the plane.
But it's not his fault...he couldn't depict that the crash would happen, and he's not even aware that his cousin survived.
All that the raven haired could do, was to hope and wish that he does.
"How did you lit up the fire...?"
The gentle voice of the other, and the roar of the waves crashing against the shore, pulled the other out of his thoughts. Replying moments after.
"Matches... I had them with me the day I found them laying by shore near the plane"
Taehyung softly hummed at the answer. Listening to the popping heat of flames.
"You got lucky."
He tilted his head to the side to look at the raven haired, laying across.
"For a minute I thought that you created a tinder nest out of little sticks like Tom Hanks in that one movie"
Jungkook, amused. He looked back at the brunette, making eye contact.
"Attempting multiple times, and failing multiple times, before you finally get it. I would hate to miss that, since I was asleep"
Jungkook scoffed softly, glancing back up at the night sky along with Taehyung, once again.
"Why, to laugh at me?"
It went silent, before Taehyung answered in a soothing manner.
"No, I'd simply be very proud...you're very smart, so I wouldn't be that worried about you failing at something."
Jungkook listened very carefully, intrigued.
"You'll always find a way...I wish, I had your strong will and courage...but I didn't even had the strength to tell you that I was injured...so imagine..."
Jungkook couldn't believe what he was hearing.
'why is he always downgrading himself?'"You sure do hate yourself, don't you?"
It took some courage to finally let his mind speak up, but he had to know why.
"I wouldn't say hate...but I would not want to be me"
"May I ask why?"
Silence.
Most of their conversations ended up in pure silence, it was as if the boys couldn't keep a conversation going, without it either falling apart, hitting a dead end, or just making it awkward.
Maybe the question was a little too insensitive for Jungkook to ask, but he was tired of spending endless days on this island without communicating with the only person that he could talk to.
