It didn't took long for the two exhausted individuals to arrive at their destination. The raven haired stood tall, observing the mountain before him in relief; half of their journey will end at this very point, all they have to do is walk through the narrow passages and continue their journey towards the radio tower.
It wasn't as safe of a route then walking around the mountain, but that would've taken way longer for them to walk through before they'd arrive at their needed destination.
And Jungkook wanted to spare as much as time he could, since it was precious and highly dependent on their lives. He's been planning this route, to the tower for 3 days straight, determined, they have to get out of this island as fast as possible, even if it meant taking the risks to make it out; including the very situation he's in right now.
Closing his eyes for a brief second, and taking in a calming breath; he had to compose himself before stepping his way to the path in front of him, not knowing that a certain brunette that stood behind him was shivering, scared of heights and in pain; he felt hesitant following the other but kept quiet, following Jungkook's lead.
7 minutes in, Taehyung tried his very best to not look or even glance down at the forest bellow him, it all felt unbearable for him to handle, but he kept strong for his own and Jungkook's sake.
Speaking of the other, he noticed that he didn't even spare once to look behind him, just to make sure that the brunette was soundly following him, but no, he didn't. He acted as if he was alone, while Taehyung presence was suddenly nonexistent. But what angered and mainly hurt the other, was the fact that he knew that the raven haired was aware of his injuries, yet still decided to ignore his wellbeing.
'Are you going to be mad at me for the rest of the day...? Why? Why are you being such an asshole, your bipolar behavior is suffocating me. You're making me suffer twice the pain I'm going through. I hate you...'. Taehyung was deeply in thoughts, when a sudden rush of emotions swarmed through him, giving him the confidence of a boost he needed. That's it, he had enough of Jungkooks bullshit.
"Jungkook!"
But the brunette was not the only one struggling with his thoughts and emotions, Jungkook had a fair share of self pity and suffering to fight through; making it hard for him to notice the other calling out for him.
"Jungkook!"
Taehyung frowned at the others ignorance; panting he felt exhausted, wanting for the other to slow down and spare him a break. But watching Jungkook disappear into the distance, was hard for the brunette to keep up with his pace, his ankle was about to give out on him any minute.
"J-Jungkook! Wait! P-Please, I ca-AGH!"
Exhausted, Taehyung stumbled due to his careless and weak footing, resulting on him falling down the cliff. Luckily, his fast reflexes held him high, hanging with the least bit of strength he had within himself; scared, he cried and screamed out for help.
"JUNGKOOK! JUNGKOOK, PLEASE! HELP ME!"
Those very heartbreaking screams for help, couldn't have been missed from miles away, and definitely not for the raven haired that took those horrifying screams into notice; worried to death, Jungkook took immediate action and sprinted his way down to the terrified brunette, who hung from the cliff with river of tears for him to spare.
Jungkook got his wind knocked straight out of him, as he spotted the other hanging in pure terror; instantly dropping down on his knees at the very edge of the cliff, regardless of his own safety, he leaned down and extended his hand for the other to take.
"Taehyung! Take my hand! Grab it!"
Taehyung cried his heart out, he was weak and scared, as his grip was starting to slip on him; he shook his head. "I can't! Jungkook, please! I can't do anything!"
