Jungkook woke up the next morning, completely exhausted and disoriented.
The day before, he stayed behind by the plane, searching and stripping the aircraft clean for supplies or anything useful for him to use, but in vain, since it wasn't as much of a success than he thought it would be.
His hopes were too high for him to settle up to, but he wanted to stay positive for as long as he could, before something would come by, crashing it down back to his depressive, hopeless state that he so desperately tried to avoid.
Sadly, he felt that way the very day he found out that he was the only soul left, that survived the crash. Taehyung's presence definitely played a huge role when it came to maintaining his sanity. If it wasn't for the brunette, he'd definitely lose it, missing the opportunity to survive for long.
Speaking of Taehyung, the raven haired sat up and took a look around, spotting the brunette still fast asleep by the fireplace. He may looked peaceful, but his body language and expression said otherwise.
'Did he have trouble falling asleep while I was gone?'
Jungkook came by the fireplace late at night, since he was distracted by his search for supplies, equipment and some other useful accessories.
He stumbled upon a jewelry box, that lay not so far away from the plane wreck. It caught his eye, so he dusted the sand away and analyzed it. The box had fancy wooden carvings in it, yet a faint golden signature printed right in the center.
Reading, 'no beauty matches' in Hangul. Struggling when it came to reading in Korean, yet he still tried his best to decipher as much as he could remember learning.
To Jungkook it looked like a wedding gift, or maybe just a token of love from someone. But it definitely made him uneasy, as the thought of it belonging to someone that passed away in the same plane as him, made it hard for him to breathe.
He survived, but they didn't...
Jungkook was lost in his thoughts as he stared at the box in his grasp, before building up the courage to open it.
Once he did, he was flashed by fancy jewelries. It had a thin silver necklace, up to 3 golden earrings and several different rings in shapes and designs to pick from: it was beautiful.
But a thought came to mind when the raven haired locked his eyes on a pair of earrings that resembled something that he carried in his very pocket.
Jungkook reached down into his pocket and pulled out a golden earring that he found at the airport.
He didn't knew who it belonged to, so it was pretty much useless, yet he still held onto it. Why? He had no clue, but it felt wrong for him to throw it away.
Maybe the little white pearl that hang from the tiny golden hook of the earring, was for luck.
It may sounded delusional and stupid, but hopes and positive thoughts was all that Jungkook had left.
That day he left the jewelry box where he found it, and continued his task.
"Ah, shit..."
He was also currently taken back by his own smell and appearance, as he was still covered in dirt and sea salt from the crash for days.
Jungkook never desperately missed a warm shower in his life, like he does right now.
Taehyung seemed fine to him, but he needs to keep his hygiene up as well.
He knew that he and the brunette had to do something to improve their situation, so he decided to head back to the plane wreck and search through some of the suitcases to find some body wash basics, and then walk his way back to the waterfall.
