The day droned on, I found myself glancing over to the clock almost every five minutes. "You guys need anything else before we close up?"
Megumi had a polite smile on his face as he shook his head. "We're all good, Rhegan."
"Speak for yourself," Nobara cut in, "Do you think you could make me another one of those strawberry milkshakes? In a to-go cup please."
"And an Oreo one for me, please!" Yuji beamed.
"Sure thing," I nodded. "You sure you don't want anything else, Megumi?"
He pursed his lips together, "A vanilla one if that's not too much trouble."
"Alright, I'll be back." I walked over to the kitchen for the final time tonight. The trio frequented my place of work, so I had grown rather comfortable with them. They were sophomores when I was a senior, so they had already known me prior.
Yuji was a sweetheart, a joyful grin on his face no matter the situation. I swear the boy could light up any room he walked in. He was also undeniably kind and compassionate, traits both admirable and hard to find nowadays. Most people were selfish, looking out only for themselves and the things that benefited them. Yuji would always go out of his way to ensure that his every action would cause nobody any harm.
