simplicity

the smell of chai,

the taste of bhaji.

the smell before rain,

the smell of new books,

the laughter of kids playing,

the team of uncles discussing about economy,

the crowd at a bus stop,

the completely lit busy night, stars twinkling.

at the break of dawn, comes the ultimate devotion,

mothers busy in the kitchen, while pots and pans clang.

here comes the newspaper guy, or, the milkman.

These simple moments, a canvas of life's art,

Each one a masterpiece, touching the heart.

In the mundane, the extraordinary we find,

A reminder of life's beauty, gentle and kind.
