Donghyuck's mother gasped and fell to the floor with a loud thud. Her husband rushed over to her weeping body, concern etched on his face. "Honey, what's the matter?" he asked, but she couldn't form her words as she cried hysterically, handing him a letter.

Donghyuck's father adjusted his glasses as he read the following:

'Dear Uncle and Auntie,
Please forgive us for leaving so suddenly, it probably sounds selfish of me but I think it would be better to take Donghyuck away from here, as we all need some time to think. Please do not worry about us, I promise I will take responsibility and care for him with the inheritance my parents left me. We will be alright after we've settled down,

I will contact you again.

-Mark'

The two boys stood hand in hand on the platform, their bags and a suitcase neatly arranged beside them. The station was quiet, with only the faint hum of distant chatter and the occasional whistle of passing trains breaking the silence. As they waited for their train, a sense of anticipation hung in the air, mingling with the uncertainty of their future.

Boarding the train, they found themselves seated face to face, the rhythmic click-clack of the tracks filling the carriage. Donghyuck's gaze drifted to the window, where he watched the world outside rush by in a blur of motion. His expression remained somber, devoid of any hint of joy or excitement.

Donghyuck has not smiled once since then. He became quiet as if he had become a different person.

After all that had happened, Doghyuck had forgotten the proper way to smile. And Mark might not be able to see it again.

It was probably futile, but this time, no matter how long it took...

Mark swore to himself that he would make him smile again.
