A lord made a mistake and wiped merlin when he didn't find a cloth fast enough to clean it up.
Arthur finds out and all hell breaks lose.

A lord comes to visit. This lord had been to comilot many times but not while Arthur was king.
This was his first trip to camilot since Arthur's coronation. Arthur didn't pay much attention to him.
That was intell arthur saw merlin come into his room. His shirt was stained with blood all over the back.
Arthur was standing from his desk and crossing the room quickly.
"What happened?" Arthur asks trying to hide the anger in his voice.
"It's nothing" merlin tried but Arthur forces him to turn.
He pulls the shirt up and sees the damage. Arthur knows it's from a whip and he has to take a deep breath before he speaks again.
"Who?" Arthur's voice is barely above a growl now.
Merlin looked down and wispered the lords name.
"He said I didn't get a cloth fast enough" merlin says.
Arthur takes him to sit on the bed. "Tell me exactly what happened and don't think about lying to me" Arthur says and merlin nods
He thinks back to what happened. "W-we were in the hall. I bumped into him and the food came falling down." Merlins starts and Arthur has to remind himself to breath
Merlin thinks about how mad he was that it touched his shoes. "The food touched his shoes and he demanded i clean it" merlin says a shiver racking his body making Arthur even more angry
"Then what?" Arthur asks making sure his tone is soft and caring.
"I couldn't find a rag since I don't work in that area often. He said I needed to learn My lesson and pulled a w-whip out" merlin says his eyes started tear up.
"How many times did he hit you?" Arthur asked and merlin sniffles before he answers.
"40 times" merlin answers and Arthur feels his stomach drop.
Arthur nodded keeping his cool. "Go to giaus have him treat you and stay there do not leave your chambers" Arthur commands and merlin nods
"I will come see you soon" Arthur promises
"What are you going to do?" Merlin asks and Arthur smiles
"Nothing for you to worry about" Arthur says and then calls for Gwen.
When she sees merlin she gasps and he flinches. "Please take merlin to giaus and don't touch him I'm sure the skin is hurting" Arthur says calmly.
Gwen wondered if Arthur even cared but then she saw his face and knew he was pissed. She nodded. "Yes sire" she said before leaving with merlin
Arthur's first task was to get the others. He called for leon who of course was there quickly. "Yea sire?"
"I need you to collect the other knights and meet me at the round table. Leave giaus and merlin out" Arthur says and can see the confusion in his friends face but leon just nods and rushes off
Arthur grabs his things and starts walking to the room. He thinks about what he will tell them and what he is going to do to the lord who hurt merlin
When Arthur arrives he is happy to see thst already 3 of his knights are waiting for him.
"Leon, lancelot and eylan thank you for coming. Once the other 2 arive I will explain why we are here." Arthur said and shortly after the 2 arive
Gwaine and Percival sit down and they all wait for their king to speak. "Do you all remember the lord that is visiting?"Arthur asks and gets nods from all of the knights
