No matter how tired Chaewon had been, she just hadn't been able to fall asleep, or at least stay asleep, as she had been tossing and turning all night long. Every now and then she would check the time on her phone, only to realise only a little bit of time had passed and it was still the middle of the night. When the clock struck seven however, the brunette finally gave up on trying to fall asleep, and got up. It was when she sat up, that she realised how tired she still was and she was happy that she hadn't made any plans with her mother, or anyone, today.

She went into the bathroom to brush her teeth before she went outside to get some fresh air, not bothered to change out of her pyjamas, which were honestly just a pair of sport shorts and a t-shirt.

When she opened the door and stepped into the morning sun, she immediately noticed a by now familiar red head by the pool, and so the brunette made her way to the pool, where she sat down on one of the sun loungers.

''Wow, you actually look like you had a worse night than I did.'' the red head said jokingly as she noticed the brunette, who had just been staring into empty space.

''Do I look that bad?'' the brunette then asked with a chuckle.

''No, well, maybe a little.'' Yunjin replied honestly, at which the brunette laughed.

''I couldn't sleep, like all night.'' Chaewon explained.

''How come?'' the red haired girl asked.

''I don't know. I just couldn't'' Chaewon answered.

''Well, that's too bad then. I was actually thinking about inviting you to come surfing with me and my friends at the beach this afternoon, but I can understand it if you aren't really in the mood since you haven't really slept all night.'' the red haired girl then said.

''Yeah, I don't think surfing is really going to be something I will have the energy for today, but hold on to that invitation, because I would like to join someday, just not today.'' the brunette replied.

''You can come along whenever you want. We go surfing together every Saturday. Feel free to join.'' Yunjin said with a small smile.

''Thanks.'' is all the brunette replied.

''So, what are your plans for today? I'm assuming it won't be anything that requires too much effort?'' the red haired girl asked after a moment of silence.

''I don't know yet. I think I'm just going to hang around the house today, take a few naps maybe.'' Chaewon answered.

''Well, just in case you get bored here today, my friends and I will be at the beach club at 2pm this afternoon. We'll be surfing all afternoon. You can always just come and watch us, but don't feel pressured though.'' the red head offered, a hint of desperation in her voice.

''I'll think about it.'' the brunette replied.

''Good, because I look really cool when I'm surfing. You really wouldn't want to miss that.'' the red haired girl said jokingly, as she shot the brunette a playful wink.

''Uh oh, well now I'm intrigued.'' the brunette joked back.

A moment of silence followed in which Yunjin just continued her work on the pool while the brunette just watched her. The silence wasn't awkward or uncomfortable for Chaewon, which was a sign to the brunette that she had become comfortable with the girl she had seen almost every day now for the past week, which surprised her a little. Chaewon wasn't someone who took a long time to open up to people, and with the right people she could become comfortable very quickly, so it wasn't the speed in which she had grown comfortable with the girl that surprised her, it was the way it had happened with such ease. Sure Chaewon had seen and spoken to the red haired girl almost every day, but only for rather short times, with rather few words at some of these times. There was just something about the red head, something inviting, something safe, she almost had something familiar to her, even though Chaewon was sure she had never met the girl before. The brunette guessed the girl was just one of those people that could make anyone feel comfortable and safe instantly and she had now decided that she liked that about the red head.
