Chapter 8

After Yunjin had asked Chaewon if she wanted to join her and Danielle for the afternoon, Chaewon had shortly gone into her room to grab a towel, sunscreen and some other items she ought to be necessary to take with her, before she joined the red head again, who was now talking to her mother in the yard.

''Yunjin, I'm ready.'' the brunette called out at which the red haired girl stopped her conversation, looked up at the brunette and flashed her a smile before she made her way to the girl who had called her.

''Alright, let's go then.'' the red head said and at that the brunette followed her out of the house.

"So, what do you guys usually do when you're hanging out?" the brunette asked after a couple of minutes to break the silence.

"Nothing much to be honest. We just have a few drinks while we chat by the pool." the red haired girl answered.

"Sounds chill." the brunette said a little awkwardly to which Yunjin chuckled.

They continued the rest of the way in silence and while Chaewon found it a little uncomfortable and was desperately looking for something to say, Yunjin seemed perfectly fine with it, walking beside her with a soft smile playing at her lips as her eyes scanned their surroundings, enjoying the scenery she by now must have seen a million times already.

Once they got to the red head's house, they were met with Danielle, who was laying on one of the loungers, a glass of wine in her hand, reading something on her phone.

"We have returned my darling." Yunjin said dramatically as they entered the yard.

"Finally, you have come back for me my beloved." Danielle said, returning the dramatics and Chaewon couldn't help but to smile at their interaction.

"I'm going to go get changed in my room. I will be back shortly. Do you need to change as well?" the red head then asked as she turned to the brunette.

"Uh, yeah, where can I?" the brunette asked.

"We can both use my room, if you don't mind of course. If you do then you can just use the bathroom instead." the red head suggested.

"No, your room is fine. I am wearing my bikini under my clothes anyways." the brunette said.

She then followed the red haired girl into her house and she couldn't help but to quickly scan the living room. It was cozy and a few guitars were hung on the walls along with some paintings and pictures of Yunjin with her parents. Seeing the red haired girl with both her mother and her father did raise a question though, as the brunette realised she had never heard anything about or seen the woman. She had met Yunjin's father. They had seen him a bunch of times during their stay here. So where was her mother? Was she not here? Did they get a divorce? But then why were there still pictures of her in the house? These were all questions the brunette asked herself.

She was snapped out of her thoughts when the red head lead her into her bedroom and closed the door.

Yunjin's room looked exactly how Chaewon had expected. One wall was painted white while the other three were three different shades of blue. There were pictures of her and her friends everywhere. Some surfboards were hung on the wall. Her room was a little messy, but in an organised way. There were a bunch of clothes hung over the backrest of the chair that stood at her desk and then there were some more clothes scattered across the floor, but not in a way that it was bothersome.

"My room is a little messy, I know." the red head said as she watched the brunette look around her room.

"It's fine, it's very you." the brunette replied.

"And what is very me?" the red haired girl asked curiously.

"A little messy, but in a good way, like free spirited and a little careless? Calm and cool colors. The decorations, pictures, props and trinkets in your room all represent things you are passionate about or care about deeply. I could get to know you by simply looking around here. That reflects how open you are about yourself to others." the brunette replied.
