The corridors were silent, the mansion almost empty. The footsteps of Sebastian and Elysia filling in the empty air. "I apologise if I am intruding, Lady Elysia, but may I ask where you have found such a fine butler?" Elysia smiled, placing her hands behind her, walking in a lady-like fashion as she observed the paintings they passed.

"You mean the demon?" She inquired. Sebastian smiled back. "Yes, he is quite the daunting figure." Elysia sighed, breathing in the smell of old furniture. "There is nothing to say. I have experienced pain beyond what my body could feel before I was able to summon him. The one to be feared by other demons. When he engraved me with the symbol..." She looked at Sebastian who paused in his steps, looking back.

Her eyes began to glow, one was black with the silver symbol of insight and foresight, the markings of a cat demon. The other was pitch darkness, her pupil and surrounding white was dyed with seemingly black ink. "It was painful, more painful than the torture that called his name. When I looked into the mirror, I was horrified to find two markings."

She closed her eyes, her pupils returning to its deep green. "My first order was for him to make the engravings invisible, the next to tell me who the other demon was."

She leaned on the wall behind her, Sebastian standing straight as he listened. "If I am correct, that would be the cat demon, Essence you call her." Elysia smiled. "She came to me as a black cat, always by Cylis' side. As soon as I got to ordering her, I had found that she enjoyed having a master rather than another demon like Cylis."

Sebastian smiled. "Well, you are well acquainted with her I presume." His smile turned into a smirk. "You do seem like a cat person." She stood back up, waving him off to continue to walk.

"Enough with the formalities. What are your intentions?" Elysia glared at him, only to meet his eyes which were glowing red. She sighed and looked away.

"I mean your master no harm. I only intend to fulfil my wish." At this, Sebastian's muscle relaxed as he continued to walk, leading her to her resting place. "My Lady." Essence was already standing at the door, bowing in greeting.

Her gaze lingered on Sebastian for a few mere seconds. "Essence, call for Cylis." The demon disappeared, leaving Elysia alone again with Sebastian.

"I see she has taken quite a liking to you too." Sebastian smiled politely. "Do not worry, the only thing Cylis cares about is my soul. He has a thing for tortured souls which have that tinge of 'purity'. I know that you do too. Ciel does have a sad past. Now with you in it, it has become darker." Sebastian stayed quiet, his smile unfaltering.

"But, I do know you were not always like this, named after a dog." She smirked as Sebastian's lips twitched. Elysia shook her head. "I wonder if Ciel has a dog fetish or something." To this, Sebastian chuckled. "It may seem like it, My Lady."

They entered the room, Elysia's eyes taking in the furniture. "Dark colours are always nicer." She sat on the bed, waiting for Cylis to arrive. "I hope you see the room fitting, My Lady." Sebastian said, bowing.

"You're dismissed." Sebastian smiled and left the room. He passed Cylis who didn't spare him a glance, entering his mistress' room.

"My Lady." He greeted, bowing on one knee as he untied her shoes. "Your soul is troubled. Is something wrong, My Lady?" Cylis stopped and looked up. Elysia stated through the windows, silently thinking. "Are you hungry, Cylis?" Cylis shook his head, a smile plastered on his face.

"N--" "Please understand I need my servants to be in top condition. If you are not satisfied then you will be unable to work to the best of your ability. One who serves my house should be working at their best. Answer me clearly, Cylis. Are you hungry?" She repeated, her stare stern as her right eye began to flood with black.

Cylis' eyes glowed red. "Yes, My Lady." He said, looking up from his bowed position. Elysia leaned in, her face close to Cylis. She breathed out a sigh, causing Cylis to close his eyes as he inhaled parts of her soul.

His eyes glowed a deeper red, a black aura emitting from his body. Elysia opened her eyes, both are completely black, the cat demon markings buried under the dark colour. She let out a human sigh, pulling back as she raised her foot. "Untie my shoe." She ordered.

Cylis seemed to be in a daze, staring at her shoe. "Cylis." She said, reminding him of his pet name and the bond that they shared between them. "Untie my shoe." His eyes began to soften from the red, his hands moved to her foot and began to slowly untie the piece of footwear.

Elysia's eyes began to turn back to its original colour. "Good boy." She praised, causing Cylis to smirk. "Of course, My Lady." His voice was dark, full of desire to completely consume her soul.

Sebastian shifted uneasily on his feet, his young master becoming irritated. "Is there something wrong, Sebastian?" He asked, taking another sip of the Earl Grey tea. "It seems a demon has fed." Ciel's eyes widened. "Elysia?" He quickly asked, worried that the young girl's soul had been taken away so soon.

Sebastian contemplated for a bit, causing Ciel's heartbeat to quicken. "No, it seems parts of her soul has been consumed but not the entirety." Ciel raised an eyebrow, relaxing back into his chair. "Is that a possibility?" He asked.

Sebastian seemed to have turned into a statue. "Sebastian?" He asked. A knock on the door sounded throughout the room. Sebastian bowing, his figure no longer smooth but stiff as he walked towards the door. He opened it, stepping aside as Cylis was revealed.

"Good evening, Lord Ciel." Ciel stood up, eyes wide as he took in Cylis' appearance. His eyes were pitch black, his skin pale and black shadows seem to seep out of his skin. His voice was like charcoal burning in the fireplace.

"Cylis, what has happened to Elysia?" The Earl asked, walking behind the chair. "Lady Elysia." He corrected, moving to stand next to Sebastian whose figure did not relax, instead seem to move away.

"I came here for Essence." He simply said. Ciel watched as a black cat crawled out from under the bed. This caused Sebastian to relax and try to catch the kitten but failed as it jumped into Cylis' arms. Sebastian stared in jealousy as Cylis bowed.

"Sorry for intruding so late at night, Lord Ciel." Ciel waved him off, feeling his throat begin to squeeze as the shadows moved closer. Soon Cylis was gone, his footsteps making no noise as he moved. Sebastian could hear Essence mewling to Cylis, a dark chuckle the only thing they hear as he walked to his own sleeping quarters.
