SIXTEEN

A NEW BEGINNING

   
     Durrah sighed again and again,her body feeling restless that no position seemed to be comfortable. It has been three days into her second marraige and  she has been living like strangers with her new husband.

   It wasn't like they despised each other or did not want to talk, they did not just know how to or what to say. Durrah wasn't about to admit it but she truly missed her old life ,the life that revolved around taking care of Junior. Since her wedding, she hasn't gotten the opportunity to properly talk to Junior as he is usually in school in islamiyya or was asleep.

    Just as she was about to give up on the bed and move to the floor,a soft knock on her door interrupted her taughts.

    "Hey Dee,i was going for a walk,urm....i was wondering if you would like to come too"

   Durrah quickly rolled of the bed and almost stumbled on the floor "wait for me,i will be out in two minutes"

    She rushed to her closet and  changed into something more comfortable before rushing out with her phone and veil in hand.

   "I'm here,i'm here" she said while slipping into her crocs.

   Nadir watched as she wrapped her veil securely around her head before giving him a small smile.

   "So what are we going to do on this walk?" She asked feeling all giddy and excitement,she loves going for a walk especially the one's that came with a long talk that made you forget the aching pain in your leg.

   "Anything you want" Nadir shrugged "we could play a game"

   "Ok, fine. Lets play 5 questions ,i want to get the juicy secrets out of you" she chuckled at the end.

   "Well then,lets see what you got"

"First question, where are you from? I know Aunty Zakiyya is from Gombe but i honestly don't know where you are from"

   "I am from Daura,katsina" Nadir replied with a chuckle

    "My turn ,you are half Nigerian right?"

Durrah shook her head "acutally No, my mum was half Moroccan and it came from her mother's side so i am pretty much full Nigerian"

  "That question has been on my mind since oo"

   "My turn,any girl before Hadiya?"

"Already getting jealous Dee" he laughed at her pouty face before answering "yes ,four. Two in secondary school, two in University"

   "Ehhhhn...you din't come off as a player to me"

   "I wasn't,i was very invested in every relationship"

   Durrah quirked a brow "should i prepare my guns?"

   He laughed "Trust me,they are all nothing compared to the relationship i plan to have with you Durrah"

   The sincerity of his words made Durrah's face melt into a smile,a blush creeping it's way in and tainting her procelein skin while her heart fluttered.
