Catherine pov

We sit at the camp... as Regina tries to teach Emma how to use her magic. Right now Regina was simply trying to get Emma to start a small fire. Killian and I have been mum about the kiss we shared a just a little while ago as well

 "Focus." Regina said "Concentrate."

"It's kind of hard when you're talking in my ear." Emma said

 "And when the wind blows or it's raining, or... someone's shooting arrows at you." Regina said "Yes, concentration's hard." "That's the point." "Find your anger and use it to focus."

"No." Emma said "There has to be a way without going dark."

"You're such a pathetic waste of ability." Regina said

 "And you're a monster." Emma said

 "...Smell that?" Regina asked

"What?" Emma asked

"Smoke." Regina said Emma looks at the campfire, which has now lit

"This is a bad idea." David said

"She has it in her." Snow said "She should learn to use it." "We just have to trust her."

"Yeah, it's not Emma I don't trust." David said as I walk over to Emma

 "You doing ok?" I asked

"I guess as good as I can be" Emma said "Why can't you teach me how to use magic?"

"I don't think I'd be the best teacher Emma" I said

"Who taught you to control your magic?" Emma asked

"My papa" I said "Look I know it's frustrating it's not easy" "But I know you can get this it just takes time" 

"Thanks Cat" Emma said

"Of course" I said. I look over and see Snow, David, and Killian all grouped together. "Let's see what those three are up to" Emma and I walk over to the three of them

"Where you guys going?" Emma asked

"Firewood." Killian said

 "To get water." David said

"Guys, what's going on?" I asked. Snow looks at them then at Emma and I

"Neal's alive." Snow said and I stare at her in disbelief

"Neal i... is... Alive?" Emma asked

 "Maybe." Snow said she looks back at David and Killian "Sorry, they deserved to know." I grab Killian's arm and pull him aside

"My brother is alive and you didn't think to tell me?" I asked

"Cat, Pan is the one who told me" Killian said "I didn't want to tell you if Pan was lying" "I didn't want to cause you heartbreak unnecessarily" "I'm sorry love" I sigh and look down

"It's ok I understand" I said and Killian smiles softly 

"If he is alive and here we'll find him I promise" Killian said and I nod. Snow see's some evidence of a struggle and we follow her

"This is a waste of time." Regina said "He's toying with us."

"I don't think so." Snow said "Look." "More scuffling." "Someone was definitely resisting."

"How do we know that means Neal?" I asked

"Well, then someone was fighting for his life." Snow said

"Are you really going to fall for this?' Regina asked "Fine." "You wanna follow the Evil Munchkin's dirt road?" "Be my guest."
