["WHY DON'T YOU GO WHERE FASHION SITS?"]
<--------->
You had already changed out of the horrendous garments that the hospital had put you in. You slung your leather race car driver jacket on your shoulders effortlessly and put your headphones around your neck.
The combat boots you were wearing were slightly more platformed than others. So when you walked out of your hospital room, you bet that you looked out place considering of what all the other people were wearing.
The people in the hospital, in the waiting room, and even the staff certainly let you know how they felt about your outfit through the looks they were giving you.
You ignored them and smiled gracefully as you stalked your way through the halls. And as you were nearing the exit, you waved to the receptionist and stepped outside the halls.
Once you were outside the halls, you put on your headphones, connected them via blue tooth and put your phone on airplane mode. Carefully watching your fully charged phone's battery as you put on some music for you to listen to.
You scrolled through the music options before you found that you liked, 'Easy to Breathe,' by the man himself. Jack Stauber. With a grin, you put it on and immediately felt a lot better.
His songs brought you a sense of security even though you didn't at all feel secure nor were your surroundings secure or familiar at all.
As you walked through the streets of the town, you noticed how more and more people were giving you weird looks. At first it didn't seem to bother you, but now it was starting to get underneath your skin.
Not to mention every girl in sight was wearing either a dress or a skirt. You were the only one out of place. Why was that?
As well as some of the guys literally looked like they came out of the movie, 'Grease.' The cars were nice too. They looked absolutely amazing. So, just to clear your head and get some answers, you took off your head phone and placed them in your bag.
Then you walked over to a random group of people, "Um...excuse me?" You cleared your throat trying to get the redhead's attention.
She turned around, and you swore the inner bisexual in you flourished. She glanced at your outfit and rose a brow, obviously finding what you were wearing interesting.
The other people in the group seemed to glance over to you. Three of the five of them were guys. So in total, three guys, and two girls. The other girl was a ravenette.
You instantly wanted to cower away, you were actual trash at talking to people in large groups, and you thought it certainly showed when you tried to speak.
"Um...what year is it?" You asked timidly. She gave you an even more confused look. "It's nineteen sixty five, why?" She gave you a nervous smile as your heart literally felt like it was about to blow up.
You slowly nodded, your eyes wide and you slowly started backing away. "T-Thanks...miss...O...kay...I'm just gonna..." You then started walking away from the group.
The guys in the group were laughing their asses off, and you couldn't help but feel stupid. You cleared your throat to yourself and walked off. Though you could most certainly feel the looks that they were sending your way as you walked off.
"Stupid greaser!" One of them shouted your way. You ignored it and went back to listening to your music. Also known as disconnecting from society.
You sighed and shoved your hands and phone in your pocket. If you were lucky you could find a hotel nearby and maybe an outlet. Though you would have to survive off of downloaded music only. As it's the nineteen sixties and there isn't any wifi.
That's probably gonna be the death of you. But you digress.
So much for trying to prove the stereotypes wrong, oh well.
Though, while you were thinking of what to do, you apparently weren't paying attention (and neither was the other person) but you had bumped into someone. You nearly stumbled to the ground, but the someone that you had bumped into had grabbed onto your wrist.
You briefly heard them mumble a soft, "Sorry..." Before walking away. You looked down at the wrist that they had held, it looked to be covered in dirt and...grease? You looked back at the person of who you bumped into.
Their head was down, they were wearing a jean jacket, their had was jet black and greasy and their skin was tanned a little. "Um, thanks!" You called out to him and continued walking.
Weird.
