Caroline woke the next morning to her phone ringing. She groaned loudly and reached across to her beside table to see who was calling so she could decide whether or not she could ignore it.
When her eyes adjusted to the bright light of her phone screen, she saw that it was her older brother, James, who was abroad filming a movie.
She answered the call and before she even had time to say hello, she heard her brother practically screaming from the other end.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW SHOCKED I WAS TO SEE THAT YOU'RE DATING JACOB ELORDI FROM AN INSTAGRAM POST? IM HONESTLY OFFENEDED THAT YOU WOULDNT THINK TO TELL YOUR OWN BROTHER"
"God, its too early for this. And not even a 'hello, how are you?' " Caroline sighed after he finished ranting.
"Hello, how are you and also what the fuck" he replied.
"Relax, we're not dating, and besides why should I tell you anyways?"
"Because I'm your brother and I deserve to know things that are going on in your life before the media." He replied whilst slightly calming down.
"Anyways, when do I get to meet him?"
"Oh my god, that is so not gonna happen"
"Why not? I wanna meet your new boyfriend"
"He's not my boyfriend" Caroline argued after sighing in exasperation.
"Mhm, keep telling yourself that" he replied matter of factly.
"You're so annoying"
"Love you too. By the way, I was also calling to tell you that filming ends in two months and I'll come back to visit when it's done. And you better introduce me to him"
"How is filming?" Caroline asked, trying to move the conversation away from Jacob
"Yeah, it's good. Tiring sometimes, but it's fun. How's your songwriting going, any new songs?"
"Its going slowly. I have like one song and the rest are all unfinished, I just don't feel very inspired right now."
"I'm sure you'll find something to write a song about. Maybe you should right songs about your new boyfriend"
Caroline tried to remind him that Jacob wasn't her boyfriend, but he interrupted her futile attempts to explain herself.
"Listen I got to go, I'm a busy man, but I'll talk to you later or something. And you can tell me more about your boyfriend"
Before Caroline could reply, he ended the call as Caroline laughed to herself at how annoying he is.
Still, she was happy that he would be coming back soon. But there was no way she was going to introduce Jacob to him, he would definitely find at least 100 different ways to embarrass her.

As Caroline got out of bed that mouring, she thought about one of her close friends, Sabrina Carpenter and how she hadn't seen her in a while, as it was hard to find a time they were both available in their busy schedules.
She decided she was going to text her to see if they could organise a meet up soon.
