Friday evening, found Caroline and Jacob sitting on the actors couch eating takeaway food and watching a movie, with his dog, Layla, sitting on the floor. They were watching 'little women', after Caroline had told him she was going to force him to watch it, whether he liked it or not.
Jacob stole looks at the girl sitting next to him almost every second, watching her being so invested in the movie, even after she had told him she had watched it more than like 50 times. He found it cute and had to try really hard to resist the urge to just drop everything and kiss her.
"Jo and Laurie would be good together" he stated, trying to sound smart as if he could predict what would happen.
"Hmmm, just you wait and see" she replied with a knowing smile on her face.
He chuckled at her response and returned his eyes towards the screen, trying to concentrate on the movie, as it was getting harder and harder for him to not move closer towards her and kiss her.

"I understand why you love that movie" Jacob had said, when it was over.
"I know, right. Like, I could watch it 100 more times and never be sick of it."
She paused slightly, her face turning very serious as she asked Jacob a question.
"Who do you think Laurie was better with? And I swear to god, if you answer wrong, I will literally never speak to you again""Amy, obviously" he answered after thinking about it for a second. He looked over at Caroline nervously, to see her reaction.
"Thank god" she breathed out in relief. "I don't trust people who think Laurie is better with Jo"
"Yeah, they're just not right together" he agreed.
There was a silence for a moment as Caroline looked around the actors living room.
'You're house is really nice" she commented, looking at all the posters.
"Thanks"
"You know, it just fits the vibe of you, if that makes sense. Like it seems like the kind of place you'd live, and I love it"
"Yeah that makes sense" he laughs slightly.
Caroline then noticed a guitar propped up against the wall. "You play the guitar?" She asked him.
"A little bit, but I'm not very good" he said shyly.
"You should play something"
"I barely know how to play anything. You're the singer, why don't you play something?"
"Well, what do you want me to play?" She asked as she picked up the guitar and sat back down on the couch
"Anything, you always sound amazing" He replied, causing a blush and shy smile to appear on the singers face.
Caroline took this moment to play him the song she recently wrote titled, 'begin again'. She was nervous to say the least, playing a song she only just wrote to the guy she wrote it about.
She almost never played an unfinished song to anyone as she was a perfectionist and wanted it to be flawless. But in that moment, it felt right to play it to him. In a way it felt like she was being vulnerable with him, telling him how she felt, only through a song.
"Its not finished yet so I still need to change a few things" she said after she finished playing and put the guitar back where it was.
"I think it was perfect" Jacob replied in awe of her. Everything about her seemed unreal to him, her voice, her smile, her personality. To him, she was perfect.
The two continued to talk and as they talked, they slowly moved closer and closer to each other on the couch.
"Y'know I really like spending time with you" he said, after a while of them talking about random things.
It was at this moment that Caroline realised just how close she was to him.
Every inch if her body urged her to just lean forward, to just shut her eyes and kiss him. So, without thinking, that's what she did.
It was as if time had stood still as she closed her eyes and closed the gap between them.
When she kissed him, it felt like sparks were flying. It felt like nothing else mattered, and it didn't. It was like he was intoxicating and she felt as of she never wanted to leave this moment.
But then Caroline started to overthink things. Was it too soon?
Was she rushing things? She wanted everything to be perfect with Jacob, but now she felt like an idiot for potentially ruining it.These thoughts made her pull away quickly. she stood up from the couch, running a hand through her hair and she started to rush out an apology that ended up sounding like gibberish.
"Oh my god, was that too soon?, I shouldn't have done that I'm so sorry. Just forget that happened. Wow, it's kinda late, I should go and-"
Her rambling was cut short by Jacob standing up and grabbing the sides of her face, pulling her back down to the couch and kissing her again.
The kiss was long and sweet and everything Caroline dreamed it would be and when they pulled away they were both left with massive grins on their faces.
"I've been wanting to do that for ages" Jacob admitted in his deep Australian accent as he tucks a strand of hair behind Caroline's ear while she blushed.
"Me too" she replied, still drunk off the feeling of his lips on hers.
They sat there on the couch, taking in each others presence when they realised they should clean up the takeaway food containers that were left on the table.
As they put the rubbish in the bin and exited the kitchen, Jacob grabbed Caroline's waist, pulling her closer to him as she rested her hands on his shoulders.
"I really really really like you" he whispered to her.
"I really really really like you, too" she replied, her smile getting wider and wider as she moved her arms to wrap around his neck, moving closer to him.
She leaned it and kissed him again. And in that moment everything felt like a dream. A perfect one that Caroline never wanted to wake up from.
She realised she didn't need massive romantic gestures or fancy dates, or anything, she realised all that she needed was him and that was enough for her.
