Caroline was sitting on her floor, with her guitar in her hand, staring at her empty notebook. She had no idea what to write and she groaned in exasperation as she stared into space.

Caroline stayed there for what seemed to her like ages, but was only around 10 minutes. Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell ringing pulled her out of her thoughts.

She jumped up at the sound and rushed over to the door, with a grin on her face, knowing who was on the other side.

She pulled open the door and was met with Jacob standing and smiling at the door, with two coffee cups in his hand.

He looked absolutely perfect, like he always does, with his hair perfectly messy and a small smile on his face.

"Hi" he breathed out softly, before Caroline grabbed his face to press a kiss on his cheek.

He frowned slightly, almost as if he was unhappy with that, and then he leaned down pressing a kiss against Caroline's lips.

She laughed against his lips, before pulling away and leading him inside, suddenly paranoid that somehow, somebody saw them.

Even though its already been two months, they've still kept their relationship private. Caroline was still so terrified that people will try to mess things up, or they'll say things that will get to her head and make her mess things up.

Neither of them have addressed the rumours that they were together and they both decided to not be seen out together, as that would only add fuel to the fire. Caroline was hoping that the rumours would just die out and people would find something else to talk about.

But Caroline had never felt happier than she had these past few weeks. She had Jacob, and that was all she needed. Obviously, people still had horrible things to say about her, but whenever she saw them, Jacob was always there for her, telling her they were just being jealous and insecure.

Their relationship was still so delicate, so they both felt like keeping it private was for the better, so that nothing could come between the two.

"I brought you coffee" he said, holding the cup out to Caroline, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"God, you really know the way to my heart" Caroline joked as she brought the cup up to her lips. She was shocked as she realised the drink was the one she got all the time as she didn't think he would remember such a minor and irrelevant detail about her.

"You know my order" she stated in surprise, her heart melting at the small, yet cute gesture.

"Its not like its hard, your order is so basic" He replied casually.

"So rude" she gasped, putting a hand on her heart in mock pain.

Jacob laughed, having gotten used to her dramatic behaviour. he followed Caroline as she moved to sit on the couch, just enjoying each others presence.

He slung his arm over her shoulder, pulling her closer to him and pressing a kiss on her temple.

"what do you want to do today?" he mumbled, his lips still pressed against the side of her head.

Caroline just shrugged her shoulders, not really caring about what they did as long as Jacob was there with her. Also, the fact that they still haven't really told anyone about their relationship meant that they couldn't  go out together without their secret being revealed to everyone. She'd be lying is she said she wasn't scared. Scared about what other people would say. If they told her she wasn't good enough for him or if they made him realise that he could do better than her. She was honestly dreading the day they had to come clean about their relationship, however she was also looking forward to the day she could call him hers

"I just wish we could tell people we're dating, and then we could do whatever we wanted" Jacob said, voicing the thoughts that were already in Caroline's head. Although he wanted to just tell everybody and get it over with, he listened and respected Caroline's choices to keep it private, for now.

"I know", Caroline agreed, "but we need more time. Besides, isn't it so peaceful when there's not a bunch  of jealous people giving you a list of reasons on why you should break up." she continued, only half joking.

He threw his head back laughing, and Caroline's face lit up, just from watching him laugh. His smile was infectious, and Caroline found herself laughing along with him.

She adored him. Every single little thing he did just made her fall for him more. She pressed a kiss against his lips.

"what was that for?" he asked as she pulled away.

" No reason, why, do I have to have a reason to kiss you?" she retorted back, grinning.

"no," he chuckled shaking his head. " you don't need a reason to kiss me"

The two stayed on the singers couch, watching a movie. Caroline felt perfectly content like this, wrapped up in Jacobs arms, not caring about anything else. She wished that they could stay stuck in this peaceful memory, just the two of them, and no worries about having to listen to anyone else's opinion.
