It was around 3:00 am. You had woken up to go grab a glass of water to soothe your burning sore throat, when you heard a familiar crashing sound of glass come from the front of your house.
"Sigh. Eclipse, is that you again? Gosh, for the last time, I gave you a spare set of keys just use the doooorrrr..."
Your voice trailed off as you seen Eclipse's barely-functioning state in front of you. You and Eclipse had known each-other for quite a while. You two met through— get this— him breaking into your house.
Usually his visits were out of boredom or wanting something, like entertainment, but seeing Eclipse's body made you feel seriously bad for once. You leaped off the counter you were sitting on. You completely forgot about the water, sliding it over to the back of the counter and going over to him.
"Geez Eclipse, what happened to you?"
You said in your raspy voice (cause of your sore throat), worried as hell but trying to mask it. You clearly weren't doing a good job though.*
"I-Uh.. Tried.. to go fight Sun and Moon again but... you know.."
He said, grumbling at the thought of getting help from you and admitting they the two actually did a number on him. Why'd he need your help anyways? You were some stupid... Nice.. Human, He didn't need help from you!...maybe he did.
"Can you.. help....?"
He questioned. His head started to feel dizzy, causing his heavy body collapsed on you. You lumber his large body up over to the couch, legs quivering and arms shaking as you try and hull his weight to the couch.
Once you got him on, Eclipse turned away from you in embarrassment, he didn't want to seem weak after all. Almost every joint had oil oozing out from internal wounds. His shell had dents, cuts, scratches, and more that just scattered across his body.
You stared for a bit, not really knowing what you could do to help and also just in.. awe. You did have a welder in the garage, so you brought that up.
"...I have a welder."

.
"...good enough."
He grumbled, knowing that this could go really bad but not wanting to sound ungrateful.
You finally return to your water, grabbing it with one hand while shuffling your feet into the garage. Turning on the old, flickering light, you find the dusty old welder. Do you even know how to work this thing?
You end up searching a Youtube tutorial and drag him into the garage. As the video played, you were rather poorly welding up his wounds instead of practicing first.
By the time you were done, it was about 5 am. You were tired and had work tomorrow, and you were not excited for Eclipse's shenanigans.
By now, you carried his ass up to the couch, plopping him down on it and crossing your arms.
"Alright. I'm going to bed. You stay on the couch. STAY. On the couch. Got that?"
No response, besides a grumble.
You sigh walking to the stairs. Before you go up though, you turn to him.
"Good enough..."
You mutter to yourself, shrugging as you walked up the stairs.
Before leaving completely though, you paused.
"If you need anything just call for me, I guess."
He would grumble out a "Fine" before you passed the corner, up the stairs, and into your room.

As the night wore on, you were woken up by a weight shift in your bed. When you turned around, you were quickly encapsulated by a pair of cold, metal arms.
"Eclipse?!"
You chirped confusedly, turning to him as he nuzzled your neck.
"...Thank you... For.. Everything...."
He spoke shyly, his face lining with a light red glow of blush. He felt more so embarrassed than shy to admit that, but was far too tired to care.
"You couldn't just say this later?"
You questioned, looking down at him.
"..No.."
He muttered, his cold, metal hands running across your soft flesh. You felt so much kore different than an animatronic. You felt soft and warm.
Eclipse hummed against your neck, nuzzling the warm embrace of your body. This was new. And he liked it. He loved the sensation.
He was so distracted by the feeling, he didn't notice that you had started drifting back to sleep, so he hugged you harder to wake you up again.
"What was that for?"
You growled, not as upset because you knew he was vulnerable now.
"mmh..."
He hummed, and bit down on your shoulder, causing a shock of pain pierce through it.
"Ack!!"
You whimpered, covering the bite mark. Eclipse tasted the metallic taste on his artificial teeth, but the moment was interrupted by your alarm for work.
"Ugh..."
You picked up your phone, calling in sick cause you were too tired to work.
"What was that for?!"
You said to Eclipse, rubbing your sore shoulder.
"What?"
You groaned, turning the other direction, which didn't stop Eclipse from spooning you.
"You comfortable?"
"Yes."
