I was woken up by Vijay. I opened my eyes half and saw him leaving. Glad he didn't left before showing me his face. He kissed my forehead and waved at me. I smiled and waved back.

"Wait." I said and he halted. He saw me standing up and ran to me to make sure I don't fall since my eyes were still adjusting to light.

"Here." I gave him a bracelet. I tried to make like Maa used to. His face lightened up. It's not any expensive things but he still had a smile like he won an award.

"This is the best thing. Thank you. I know my day is going to be full of happiness today." He said and caressed my hair side hugging me. He left with a bright smile on his face which made my morning amazing as well. I will miss his presence but it's just 4 days then my hubby will be back. I will surprise him since after 4 days I will confess to him by preparing a date.

I slept again and then woke at 8 am. I freshened up and stepped out of room. I saw Maa walking downstairs in a beautiful saree. But it's disturbing her. Her saree is getting between her steps because her behind cloth is not proper. She might fall. I called her to stop her on tracks but she turned and due to saree she lost her balance. I ran towards her and screamed.

"Maaaaa....." I shouted and Roohani di stood up from sofa too. I was a second late. I couldn't hold her wrist and stop her from tumbling down. My eyes were wide and hands in air which was frozen. I extended it to hold her hand but couldn't save her from falling. Roohani di looked at her in terror. She fell down tumbling from one stair to other. She lied flat on floor with her head bleeding unconscious. I ran downstairs and Roohani di already took her in lap. She was trying to call her. Raj bhai took her hospital. I and Roohani di followed behind.

Doctor took her to emergency room. Roohani di was crying and Raj Bhai was patting her back. I went towards her and she glared at me. I halted processing what did I do to anger her? She never glared at me even though I ruined her dresses just to annoy her. Her tears kept flowing. Doctor came out and asked for urgent blood. Her blood group is rare but my blood group matches with her. Doctor took me for blood donation to her. Roohani di was looking at the window with tears flowing nonstop.

The operation was successfull. I got to know by nurse since I was in other room. I was told to rest for a bit but jolted running towards the operation theatre. We could meet her but she is in vegetative state. She is not opening her eyes because she bleeded a lot. She will be back to normal in a week or month or even years. Doctor informed and went away. I walked towards the door but felt a great pull. I was about to fall but Raj bhai balanced me from behind.

"Stay away from Maa." Roohani di glared at me.

"Why are you behaving like this di?" I said as my eyes were now gathered with tears threatening to fall anytime.

"Don't act innocent. You think we killed your Maa and bhai so you harmed Maa." She shouted at me.

"Shut up Roohani." Raj Bhai glared at her.

"Because of her don't forget you are my brother not hers. She is just an orphan we took in. She is nothing and she is repaying us like this. Tell me am I wrong huh?" She said tightening my right arm in her hands digging her nails in.

"Am I wrong? I heard how Veeranshu was blaming us and you listened to him quietly. You think your maa was killed because after Vijay Bhai was rescued we didn't looked for her and she got sacrificed. You think we were going to kill Yuvraj so he took his life himself just to portray us as a saviour." She added and Raj Bhai frowned.

"Th.. That's..n-not...true." I said between my sobs. She misunderstood everything.

"Stop it with your lies now. Don't you dare come near my maa." She said breaking in tears again.
