Nightmare
>>>>———— 🍀 ————<<<<As Aryan emerged from the washroom, he found Agni arranging a pillow and blanket on the couch. Realization dawned on him as he noticed they were meant for him. With a surprised face, he rested his hands on his waist and accusingly asked,
Ippo na yedhuku sofa'la padhukanum?
Aryan couldn't help but feel a pang of frustration as Agni glanced at him briefly before continuing to make her own bed. With an exaggerated eye roll and a shake of his head, he couldn't resist asking
Sandha podha kudha time illaya unaku?
Agni paused in her task and turned to face Aryan, crossing her arms over her chest as she questioned him,
Na yedhuku un koodha sandha podhanum? Na yaar unaku?
Aryan stood there for a moment, feeling a pang of regret wash over him. She was right—what were they to each other? Just two people sharing the same space, nothing more.
Nee yenga venalum padhuthuko, I don't care
Aryan watched Agni retreat to her side of the bed, feeling a pang of disappointment at the distance between them. He longed to bridge the gap, to feel her warmth beside him, but he knew better than to push her away. With a resigned sigh, he settled onto the couch, his mind swirling with thoughts of her. Despite the distance, he couldn't help but steal glances at her silhouette in the darkness, his heart yearning for the connection they once shared.
Suddenly his heart suggested a stupid suggestion, Aryan seemed unsure about it, as he looked back and forth at Agni and finally he unwillingly gave up.
Agni smiled when she felt the bed moving, she masked it and turned around with a curious gaze as Aryan laid next to her, she arched a brow. Aryan met Agni's curious gaze with a sheepish smile, his heart pounding with uncertainty. He cleared his throat nervously, trying to find the right words,
Enala anga thunga mudhila
Agni simply shrugged her shoulders and closed her eyes. Aryan huffed, his lips forming a pout as he watches her. What is wrong with him? Why is he behaving so childishly and why can't he stop himself?
Na unakaga yedhavum pannala, en kozhandhaikaga dhan-
As Aryan uttered the words to remind himself, a gentle finger pressed against his lips, silencing him. He turned slowly, meeting Agni's gaze, and in that moment, he felt a warmth envelop him. If he hadn't looked closely, he might have missed the affection twinkling in her eyes and the soft smile playing on her lips.
Thoongu Aryan
Na-
You're tired
However, Aryan shook his head,
I'm not tired
I'm tired
Agni's words hung in the air, holding a gentle promise. Aryan's gaze remained locked with hers as she tenderly tucked the blanket around him, her touch lingering on his chest, right above his heart. A soft smile graced her lips as she felt the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her hand. With a lingering touch, she withdrew her hand, bringing it close to herself, but her eyes remained fixed on his, conveying a silent reassurance.
Good night
She wished and closed her eyes.
Aryan was shocked.
