MARIA AL GHUL

The next morning was not an enjoyable one, instead of spending my morning meditating or training, I was looking at information I already knew; just because everyone else in this tower was too slow to figure it out.

Draped in a black skirt, white button down and a big leather jacket; I stood beside Rachel looking at a screen full of information on Slade.

"That't Rose's father?" She looked wide eyed and confused.

"Yup," Jason smirked, like I wasn't the one who told him this. "The one and only deathstroke."

Dick had a disturbed look on his face, it almost made me laugh. He was much easier to read than I assume he would like, his expressions gave away some kind of personal history with the villian. I made a mental note to look into it.

"Is that somebody you know?" Rachel noted the stare Dick was holding with the computer.

"Kind of," He spoke vaguely. "Old Titan business."

Gar continued on the keyboard and showed us more files on the so said 'ex-assassin'. "Check it, Former Delta Force Commando. Part of H.I.V.E. Select soldiers who underwent a series of experimental bio-enhancements. Out of the thirty-five trial subjects, Slade Wilson was the only one to survive. Interpol says he retired years ago after the death of his son Jericho."

That seemed to snap a nerve in Dick, and he shut off the system. "I'll take it from here."

Before anyone could question his odd behavior, the alarm system went off. "Security alert. Main Entrance. Access Denied."

My eyes widened ever so slightly when I saw the old Titans pop up on the security camera. "So I guess you changed the code." Donna remarked.

This was going to be an even more interesting reunion, especially given some of their opinions on me. In their eyes I was the bad guy, the villain, I fought on the opposing side; they were definetly going to have a reaction to seeing me in the tower.

We all walked out to meet, though I was reluctant. "Well this'll be fun." I grumbled as I approached the door of the elevator.

As the doors slid open, Rachel and Gar made their way to the front of the group to say hello, effectively hiding me from objective view.

Rachel spoke first, "you guys have no idea how much this place misses you." She smiled at them.

"This place, huh?" Dove smiled back.

Hank was the first to catch sight of me, and I was certain his eyeballs were not going to survive the experience. It took him a minute to process the information as the others continued talking.

Rachel and Gar came up and gave hugs and handshakes. I didn't really care to listen as I waited for Hank to explode.

"Were you followed?" Dick asks and Hank finally cracks.

"No but it seems like you were!" He makes a gesture towards me. "The fuck is she doing here!?"

I saw Donna and Dove finally catch sight of me, and while they didn't spontaneously combust like Hank did, they didn't seem thrilled.

"She's on our side this time." Dick sighed.

"Like hell she is," He yelled. "I feel like you must have forgotten that you almost lost an arm to her when she was what? Thirteen!?"

"Calm down bird boys," I put my hand up. "First of all, I was fourteen so don't lose your shit. And second of all, I've been here for a while now, if I wanted everyone dead I would have done it already."
