It has been about 5 months since the war.

Since she died.

The Riddle manor got put in my name which normally I would be happy about.

But it was just me here. No one else.

I had a job at the ministry but got fired for my anger. Can you blame me tho? The love of my life died in my arms for christ sake.

Theo and the others would come and check on me every so often but it was no use.

I was back to my old ways.

Lashing out. Smoking. A lot. Drinking. A lot. Fighting in the streets with people for the simplest thing.

I was broken.

She was the one thing that was keeping me alive and I couldn't take it anymore.

I slept in her top that she left at my house over Christmas for some clarity. As well as spraying her perfume all over my clothes and bed.

But it was no use.

I was falling down a spiral and it was going to end.

Soon.

I knew I couldn't live without her and it was killing me even more.

She didn't even reach 18.

We were meant to get married. Have kids. Our own house and grow old together.

This wasn't in the stars. But she was.

Every night I would sit outside looking at the sky for her.

This one star always shone brighter than the rest and I knew it was Inola. She was watching over me.

She would have wanted me to carry on with my life but it was no use if she wasn't in it.

It was official. I wanted to end my life.

And just like a click of your fingers.

I was dead.

But thinking of her.

————

"Matty?" I heard a sweet voice from behind me.

I turned around and saw her. Inola. And a tall red head. It was Fred. He also died in the war.

"Baby" I breathed out before racing to her and embracing her into a tight hug again. Tears pouring down both our faces.

I was with her once more.

And I was happy.
