Misora was direct and approached even closer, causing Ryuzaki to step back.

"Are you... the one from the train station, right?" she asked.

"L informed me that I will be working with you here at the station. Pleasure," replied Ryuzaki, completely evading the question and starting to walk around the headquarters.

They called all the agents and prepared them, completely changing their appearance. Meanwhile, Ryuzaki took care of giving each one a microphone and a tiny camera that they placed near their necks.

"We will monitor everything you say and see through these computers, Misora and I," he explained.

The agents left, leaving Ryuzaki and Misora in the headquarters. Ryuzaki sat in a chair in front of the monitors in a peculiar pose, hugging his legs, and stared fixedly at what each agent was seeing.

About an hour passed, and Ryuzaki's behavior really puzzled Naomi. Even the way his hair was messy was very similar to someone she had met before. All of this seemed very strange to her: that her question was ignored, that just the two of them stayed there. But Naomi was sure it didn't matter. If L had sent him, she would trust Ryuzaki without hesitation. However, all of Naomi's thoughts were interrupted.

"Misora, look at this person one of your colleagues is talking to. It seems that he works at the bank, but when searching for information about this person, there is no record showing his profession. The same happens with this other person. I deduce that the thieves also sent their colleagues to keep watch," Ryuzaki informed.

"This doesn't look good... I have an idea, risky, but I'm prepared. Maybe we could follow them after the bank closes and see where they go. Since they haven't seen us before, we would seem like ordinary citizens," Naomi suggested.

Ryuzaki turned to look at her, thinking about what to do, and turned to a box.

"They left some clothes we can use there. There are also some wigs, so it's okay," said Ryuzaki.

Naomi smiled at him because he accepted her idea. Ryuzaki chose a dark blue wig with a less messy and shorter hairstyle than his. Naomi chose one in a slightly light gray color and shorter than her long black hair. Finally, they changed their jackets.

L's big black circles under his eyes were due to not sleeping for several days due to his cases, but it wasn't something that was commonly seen. So Naomi asked him to come closer and took out makeup to cover his dark circles.

"This way, they won't be able to recognize you if they see you again," explained Naomi.

"Thank you," replied Ryuzaki.

The bank closed at 4 pm, and this precaution was due to the risk of an attack by the criminal gang. Naomi and Ryuzaki were already waiting outside the bank for closing

"Misora, there they are, let's go," he said hurriedly.

In their haste, he grabbed her arm, and they ran to get closer without risking being caught. However, the suspects didn't exit through the usual door; they emerged through a rear entrance and got into a van with tinted windows to obscure the view of the occupants inside. Upon arrival, the first thing they spotted was a motorcycle, and Naomi had the idea that she could use it to keep up with the van's pace.

"Ryuzaki, hop on quickly. I can ride a motorcycle; I'll try to get it started. There won't be any issue with the police; we'll notify them later," she instructed.

Misora was truly skilled; she quickly got the motorcycle running, cutting some wires, and made it start. They accelerated to a higher speed to catch up with the van.

"Hold on to me; no problem," she assured.

Ryuzaki wasn't easily impressed, but this time, he was impressed by Naomi's agility in handling the motorcycle, even with several cars on the road; she managed to dodge them easily. The wind was quite strong, so they removed their wigs, and L rubbed his eyes as the makeup was uncomfortable, and dusk was setting in. The city lights illuminated them both. L would describe the scene as something he had never experienced before, and Naomi was determined to do whatever it took to solve the case and not disappoint L. The van entered an abandoned building without lights, so Naomi quickly turned and they left the scene. They now had another lead to follow up at the station.

"I'll tell L to send someone to install cameras in that building," he decided.

L's eyes began to feel very heavy, as if he was about to collapse.

"RYUZAKI?!" was the last thing L heard before passing out. This was more common than it seemed, but it had never happened when he was away from Watari. When he woke up, he saw a concerned Naomi, and L was lying on a bench in a park he had never been to before.

"Are you okay? You passed out, and I had to stop at this park," she said, concern evident on her face as she looked at Ryuzaki.

"You were worried about me?" he asked.

"..."

"WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT? OBVIOUSLY YES, even though this is the first time we've worked together, it feels like I've known you before," she said.

Naomi had come to the conclusion that somehow this person spoke in a manner similar to the enigmatic detective with whom she solved the BB case.

"Don't worry, I don't usually sleep much; I have to consume large amounts of sugar to stay awake," he said, trying to reassure Naomi, and he smiled gently.

Naomi realized she had become quite agitated.

"I know a good bakery near this park; is it okay if we go there?" she asked.

"Sure," he replied.

They started walking together when suddenly Ryuzaki said, "My favorite place is parks. What's yours?"

"Mine isn't a place; I'd say it's when I'm riding through the city on my motorcycle," Naomi said with a slight laugh.

It was a cozy bakery, and the smell of bread was delightful. They began to look at the pieces of bread and chose some. Then they returned to the park and left on the motorcycle. Ryuzaki began to eat.

"Thank you... also, thanks for being so agile and managing to catch up with the van. Now we have significant progress."
