"Thank you for coming. L has informed me that orders will be given through me for a while, due to other matters he asked me to keep discreet. I will be in charge of updating you on the progress of this case."

"So, could you inform us about your investigation from yesterday?"

"Here, Noah. It was somewhat difficult to infiltrate, but I have some documents with everything we discovered: one team was tasked with entering the surveillance room and searching for recordings of the workers' kidnapping, but they were deleted. One of our main suspects is the security manager; we believe he may be connected to the kidnappers. Another team accessed bank account records, looking for withdrawals or any activity around the time of the kidnappings; they could have been witnesses. We wanted L's confirmation to allow us to visit the people involved and ask them about what they saw. We've already gathered information about the names registered to those accounts and we were planning to visit them at their residences."

"Thank you for the report. I'll take care of..."

He couldn't even finish communicating when several screams and gunfire were heard outside the facility. Everything became blurry after an explosion triggered the fire alarm and filled the place with smoke. Several agents began to evacuate. How was it possible for something like this to happen at an FBI agency? The attack had barely begun, and there were already several wounded. Everyone started to draw their weapons and searched for the perpetrators.

"NAOMI, THIS WAY!" The commotion was so intense that Naomi couldn't hear clearly. Her ears had temporarily lost their hearing, and the smoke made visibility difficult. It wasn't the first time it had happened; due to her job, she knew what to do. "We don't have to split up. Notify the other agencies immediately. There might be more explosions. There's more ammunition in the back if we need it. Stay away from the walls and windows," Naomi instructed.

"Ryuzaki, I have to get you out of here," Misora tried to say. Just as Misora predicted, there were two more explosions that damaged the entire building, increasing the risk of collapse. In the end, they had to separate, and Ryuzaki was with Naomi. When they managed to advance further, they encountered four masked individuals wearing bulletproof vests and armed. Naomi ran towards them, delivering kicks, trying to be fast and avoid the blows, but it was 4 against 1. Although Naomi managed to knock down 2, the other 2 caused more damage. That's when Ryuzaki decided to act. He had also been learning capoeira since he found out about Naomi's skill in combat, and with his help, they managed to bring down the attackers. Naomi immediately disarmed them and took the ammunition from their weapons.

Several exits were blocked by debris, and the dust made it difficult for Ryuzaki and Naomi to breathe.

"Misora, I know someone who can take us to a safe place. I'll call him."

"Okay," Misora replied.

Naomi was injured, tired, and confused. Who could those masked individuals be and why were they armed? She couldn't handle all of this anymore, but she tried to move the debris. Heavy footsteps began to approach. When she turned to look, there were more people like the ones she had just defeated. She grabbed some debris and threw it at them while doing her best to defend herself. One of the masked individuals aimed at Ryuzaki. Quickly, she released the debris she was carrying and ran to protect him.
