What if things hadn't been like this? Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if L hadn't spoken to Naomi Misora again. Perhaps in another world, their relationship was only to solve the BB case in Los Angeles, and they never spoke again. Despite being the right people, I'm glad not to be in that world since there was a feeling that drove L to want to get more involved. It's something I'll never be able to understand, and one of the reasons why I admire L. It's much more complex than any other case.
What will it be?

Naomi didn't sleep all night; now they only had one day left.

"Watari, could you notify the other agencies to be careful with suspicious individuals? Maybe they'll try to attack the others."

"Right away."

Naomi began to think more about what to do.

"In the report Noah gave me, they said they suspected the person on surveillance duty. I'm going to access the bank's information."

With the equipment provided to Naomi, it was easier to access the databases of all the places she needed information from. Once inside, she found the name "Gerard Bulgari."

"That name is fake; there's no record of a Gerard Bulgari."

Naomi picked up an untraceable landline phone and called another FBI headquarters that hadn't been attacked.

"I'm Naomi Misora, an FBI agent from Headquarters 5. I need your help. Due to the destruction of our agency, I have to turn to you. I've just sent you a copy of the documents about the case taken by my agency. I need you to arrest Gerard Bulgari. He's the head of security and deleted all records of the kidnapping day. He's at the bank working right now. I'll be monitoring everything from where I am."

"I've sent a unit for the arrest. Goodbye."

Watari approached Naomi with a concerned look.

"Miss Naomi, a new video about the kidnapping has arrived." Watari extended his arm, took out a remote control, and began to project the message.

"At 10 o'clock tonight, the person sent by the police to deliver the money must be in bills and must see us inside the bank, no reinforcements or weapons. If we see police to arrest us, we'll immediately kill the workers and take the money." That was the end of the message.

"We have 9 hours left... I'll tell..." Naomi didn't finish speaking; she wanted to ask L for help, but she didn't want to be a burden to him, so she decided to do it alone.

She looked at the screens monitoring what was happening in the bank; the other people were still just as calm. It seemed they hadn't seen the latest video sent by the kidnappers today.

Naomi began to squeeze her arm; she was nervous about what she would do to solve the case and if she would be able to do it.

She got up from the chair quickly and told Watari that she would go to the bank to be with the FBI at the time of the arrest.

Their only chance to arrest the perpetrators of several bank robberies would be today. If they didn't succeed, they would have to wait for years or months or not be able to arrest them at all in the worst case scenario.

The hotel where Naomi was staying was far from the bank, so it took her some time to get there. A few minutes before arriving, she was called on her real number; she took her cell phone and answered.

"We managed to arrest the person we were told to. What do we do now?"

"I'd like to interrogate him, but I don't think it's safe in the bank."

"We'll send you the location of the place where we usually conduct interrogations."

The location they sent her was in a building that seemed to be a company, but it was actually used for interrogations that the FBI wanted to keep extremely secret.

"You should start talking now. How long do you think you can endure like this?"

Naomi opened the door and found the suspect injured and a person from another headquarters in front of the suspect.

"Have they already started torturing him?" Naomi didn't want precisely that; she only planned to ask him a few questions.

She took a chair and sat in front of him.

"You don't work at the bank, do you? Are you an ally of the kidnappers?"

"Please, miss, let me go."

"I need you to tell me everything you know before I let you go."

The suspect had some bruises on his face; the FBI had been tough. From his expression, it was clear that Gerard wasn't entirely guilty.

"In reality, I'm also a victim. That gang threatened me to pretend to be the guard, so that's how I ended up here."

Gerard looked tired and began to speak more; he didn't want to be there anymore.

"That gang will fall soon."

"What do you mean?"

"By saying this, I'm risking a lot, but they no longer have a leader; they took care of him themselves. It happened right before my eyes. They are wild people who only want money. Their leader was someone who had led them to earn a lot of money, but now that they don't have him, it's likely that they'll be caught very easily... still, they are very dangerous; they have weapons with the potential of those used by the military and special forces. That's what makes them imposing."

Naomi had been recording everything with a small recorder to register it later.

"We'll keep an eye on you for a while. Thank you for your cooperation. It's also to ensure that the gang doesn't harm you."

Watari was looking after Ryuzaki when suddenly Ryuzaki began to slowly open his eyes. He had been unconscious for 2 days. He got up very quickly, as if he were looking for something.

"You finally woke up," Watari said with a warm smile.

Ryuzaki didn't say anything, but there was a strange expression on his face.

"How is the case going?"

"You're just like always," he chuckled a bit.

"Today the money has to be delivered; it's the deadline."

Watari approached a small table that had some documents on it. "This is everything that has happened and what has been recorded these days."

Ryuzaki began to read everything at great speed.

"I see..."
