Just so you know, the reader is gender neutral.

Darra and Kyra left off on good terms. Eventually, Kyra became somewhat of a wingwoman for him. Lately, Kyra and Imogen have noticed Darra being more distracted lately.

Imogen gets mad at him after one of their missions(?) to fix a magical mishap goes wrong because he wasn't paying attention. "What's gotten you so distracted lately?" Imogen says harshly.

"It's nothing, really," Darra replies. "You sure it's not because you and Kyra are just friends now?" Imogen says starting to instigate. "What? No. That was a mutual decision. It's something else..." Darra leaves his sentence unfinished because he gets a text from someone he had recently met. Y/N.

Y/N and Darra had met through Peter. With Y/N and Peter being best friends, they were bound to meet at some point. Now, they couldn't stop texting each other.

"Who are you texting?" Imogen asks. "No one," Darra quickly responds.

Imogen doesn't believe him and takes away his phone. "Hey! Give it back!" Darra demands, but Imogen doesn't listen and scrolls through his messages. "Who's Y/N?" Imogen asks feeling very mischievous and curious.

"They're a friend of Peter's," Darra casually says. "And your friend, too, apparently," Imogen says with a teasing smile, or a surprised one.

Kyra just happens to walk into the room. "Hey, Kyra. Have you met Y/N before?" Imogen asks. "Yeah. Peter's friend. Why?" She asks feeling confused. "Darra has a crush on them. That's why," she says. Darra blushes with embarrassment.

"Is it true?" Kyra asks, and Darra reluctantly nods. "Yeah. I've been meaning to ask you about them, but I never did. And, I knew that if I asked Peter, he would catch on to what I'm trying to do," he explains. "You should've just asked me. I have the perfect idea," Kyra says.

She then goes to talk with Imogen. They discuss various topics, like what he should do to ask them out, what he should wear, and how he should act. Eventually, they both come to an agreement.

"Darra, you need to ask them to somewhere nice or a place they like. But don't ask them out over text," Kyra says. "And, you should dress nice but not too nice. Casual, but not too casual," Imogen adds on. "What?" Darra asks feeling completely confused. "I don't even know what that means. And, I don't know any of their favorite places," he says feeling a bit rushed, and still confused.

"We'll show you," Kyra and Imogen simultaneously say.

With the help of Lily, along with Ruksy, they were all able to help Darra know what to say and wear before he is ready to ask out Y/N.

"So, I know what to wear, and what I should say, but what about a gift or something? Like roses or a necklace," Darra brings up. "Well, that's a good question. Flowers would be a good choice, but it's also cliche. Along with chocolates. Though you could still choose it if you want," Ruksy says.

"Don't listen to her. Just choose what you think is best. If you feel like you should get it, then get it. If not, then don't. It's simple," Imogen responds, only because she thinks she has better advice than Ruksy, though Imogen has no experience with relationships whatsoever. Then, they get into a small argument.

Meanwhile, Y/N is panicking and talking to Peter for advice. "Peter, what do I do? I mean, Darra is pretty cool but what if he doesn't like me? What if he hates me or something?" They say, feeling very stressed. "First, calm down. I know Darra. He's not one to hate people. And if he ever did, it would be for a good reason. Second, even if he doesn't like you, you're a pretty cool person, and anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend," Peter tries to reassure.

Y/N somewhat calms down and says, "Okay. You're right. But how should I even do it? Ask him out? I don't know what his favorite place is, or his favorite gifts. I wouldn't know what to get him." Peter sits down next to them. "Don't overthink it. Just do something simple. Like, meet him at a cafe or a bakery. And don't go overboard with the way you dress either. Dress casually. And be yourself," he advises.

So, Y/N decides to follow his advice. A few days go by. Darra feels ready to ask Y/N out, and vice versa. Obviously, they both feel very nervous. But, they feel ready enough to meet each other. Darra makes the first move by texting Y/N and inviting them to a cafe.

They both show up wearing casual clothing. "Hey, Y/N," Darra says and smiles when he sees them. "Hi, Darra," Y/N replies. They take a moment to examine each other. "Shall we go inside?" Darra asks, breaking the silence. "Yes, we shall," Y/N responds and internally cringes at what they just said.

They just chit-chat for a bit until Darra starts to speak up again. Y/N also happens to speak. "I have something I want to ask you," is what Darra said while Y/N says, "I have a question for you."

Then, they both struggle on deciding who would go first. They decide on Darra. "So, what is it you wanted to ask?" Y/N says nervously. Darra takes a second to think before deciding to say, "Would you like to...maybe instead hanging out as just friends...we could go on a date?"

Darra could feel himself shaky, along with his shaky voice. Y/N was surprised. After a few seconds, Darra thought he made a mistake asking them on a date. Y/N was just trying to wrap their brain around what he just said.

"Never mind. Forget what I said," Darra says and starts to get up. "No. Stay," Y/N says quickly. Darra then turns around. "You want to go on a date with me?" Y/N asks cautiously. Darra nods with a hopeful smile.

"I was going to ask you the same thing," Y/N says, also smiling. "Really?" Darra asks. "Yeah. I honestly thought you wouldn't want to," Y/N then says. "I thought you would've turned me down, too," Darra responds. "Well, maybe, we should be more honest with each other. And discuss our next date?" Y/N says and questions. "That sounds like a good idea," Darra says with a big smile, along with Y/N smiling.

As they continue to drink coffee and discuss their next date, Peter, Lily, Imogen, Kyra, and Ruksy are outside of the cafe watching their interactions, knowing they did a good job at getting them together.

A/N: Sorry for taking so long to make another story. This isn't the best I could do, but I also did it within a day and didn't really go back to edit it. But I think it was pretty decent and it's also providing you with more content so I guess it's a good thing. Hope you enjoyed!
