Chimon knocked on the door. Waiting. He looked down at his silver plated watch. It was now 21:10 (9:10pm). He knocked again, feeling more anxious as he waited.

Finally, the door opened with the slightly taller man looking at Chimon. "Nanon, we need to talk. I hope you're not busy..." Chimon began talking fast as he rushed passed him and into his apartment.

"Uhhhh sure. Please come in" he replied in a sarcastic tone.

"I just need to talk to someone and you're the only person I wanted to talk to about this. Please don't be mad this time," Chimon blurted out as he walked from the doorway to the small kitchen.

Nanon closed the door and rubbed his face as he turned to him. He looked across the room to the wall clock before taking a deep breath. "What's going on? It's a Thursday night. I don't think you've ever come barging in on me in the middle of the week before. It must be serious."

Chimon didn't reply as he was focused on pouring a glass of alcohol. He watched the froth flow over the rim of the clear glass. Then he took the smallest sip of the nearly golden liquid. "Yeah yeah I know. But you'll listen to me anyway right? That's what best friends are for."

"Yeahhhh, so what's going on?" Nanon asked again as he sat down watching the man drink more of the beverage. He watched the way he closed his eyes and shook off his nerves.

"I uhh, damn it, I'll just say it. I slept with someone yesterday and-"

"What? You what?" Nanon shouted in surprise. His mouth was open in complete shock.

"Yeah I know. I have no problems flirting with anyone, but I don't often..."

"Chi! I can't believe it? Who was it?"

Chimon looked down at the empty glass and tightened his grip on it. "That's the thing...I don't really know him."

"It was a stranger?!"

"No! Well, not really, but I guess kind of?" Chimon said in an uncertain tone of voice.

Nanon looked at him in silence, wide eyed.

Chimon said, "He was the guy that fixed my car."

"Wait, the guy you were complaining about? Him?"

Chimon covered his face with both hands. "Yeah. I know, there was just something about him. But I think I got swept up in...everything"

"Damn. Well a one time thing is good everyone once in a while."

Nodding to his friend, Chimon bit his tongue. After almost a minute, he said, "yeah I guess you're right."

Slowly their conversation moved to other things before Chimon left. He couldn't bring himself to say all his thoughts and confide in him. There was looming judgment coming from Nanon, just in the tone of his voice.

Instead Chimon went home, still thinking about the mechanic. He remembered the moment they met, how Perth slide out from under a car and looked up at him from the floor of the garage. He thought about the way Perth handled him, not like the delicate son of a large company, but with just the right amount of rough hot strength. He kept thinking about him.

Until the next day, Friday afternoon. On this hot day, Chimon wore a black flowy button up shirt with dark wash jeans that accentuated his waist. He reluctantly got out of his car in front of the same garage entrance he was at just a few days ago.

When Chimon walked up towards the garage, he saw Perth. The mechanic was inside leaning back against a car. Perth was wearing a white tank top and gray cargo pants. His arms leaned back on the hood of the car, showing his muscular arms.

But, there was another man in front of him, standing pretty close. He wore a white shirt and black dress pants. He leaned in closer as he said something.

"What the f-" Chimon muttered under his breath. He didn't like the sight of these two together like that, standing so close. He clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and turned around.

"What am I even doing?" He spit out as he got back in his car to drive off.
