"Where the hell have you been?"
Perth turned quickly to see Chimon standing at the top of the stairs. Wearing his sleek pajamas and a tired expression.
"Babe, did I wake you? Sorry," Perth said in a soft tone. "I just got home from the office."
"Don't fucking lie to me!" Chimon suddenly yelled to his husband who stood at the bottom of the staircase.
"Chimon, I'm not lying. I just came from the office. You know I've been busy, I swear," Perth approached Chimon with a tenderness in his voice that he only uses when he's reassuring him.
"Cut the crap already," Chimon spit out before turning around and retreating to their bedroom.
Perth watched his husband walk away from him. he debated telling him the truth. He followed his love, hoping he could soothe whatever worries he has without revealing anything.
