The next day, a Sunday, Chimon was sitting outside on the back patio. It was a large space designed with different tropical plants, a koi pond, and a miniature waterfall. Sitting to the outside table, he was staring at his phone in deep thought.
He was debating whether to call Perth. He misses him, but he didn't want to seem to clingy or overbearing. But, Perth said that Chimon belonged to him. So, what does it matter if he calls already or not?
He just sat there, breathing in the fresh air, but still not quite sure what to do.
After awhile, his brother saw him from inside their large house. Spying on him once again, he watched as Chimon glared at his phone. "Geez, is he trying to use mind powers to zap his phone?" Mix whispered to himself.
Seeing Chimon not moving, he finally stepped out to the courtyard to investigate. Getting closer, he said, "hey little one. What's wrong?" He smiled sweetly at him as he sat in the chair across from him.
Chimon looked up, finally taking his eyes off the phone screen, for the first time in over ten minutes. He looked a bit dumbfounded by the question with his mouth slightly open.
"Do you need some advice? I'm always here for you?" Mix said as leaned on his elbows watching Chimon.
The sun was beating down on the two guys. Chimon put his phone in his pocket. "No?" He said in an uncertain tone.
"Come on, you can tell me."
Chimon hesitated, but then asked, "What do you think out parents would say if I got a new boyfriend?" Immediate regret circulated in his stomach after asking this question.
His brother promptly displayed a caring smile as he thought about his answer. "Well, I would say, that you shouldn't think about what our parents think of that specific thing... you know how they are." Then he sat closer, leaning across the table. "If you're happy, that's all that matters." Then he placed his hand on Chimon's wrist in an endearing gesture. "They'll be as happy as they can be. I don't want you to worry too much about our parents. Those two are always going to have some small distain and feelings of loss. Can you imagine? Two proud parents who had dreams of their two sons having their own sons, and yet here we are. Neither of us will give them the grandchildren they wanted."
Chimon looked up, feeling some sorrow, but understanding what he meant. He noticed Mix briefly look down at the white table top, some hints of grief deep within, before he glanced back up.
Smiling, Mix continued in a cheerful way, "Besides we have a sister who has a fiancé already anyway. They're occupied enough with her!"
Chimon snickered at the mischievous implication of his statement. "Aye would probably slap your head, if she heard you mocking her misery. I just know she hates how involved Mom is being,"
"And you know what?" Mix began in a quieter tone. "It's getting pretty serious with my boyfriend too," he said with a wide eager smile.
"I'm happy for you," Chimon said. But really, that just made him think of Perth some more. He looked down to the ring on Mix's hand, thinking some more.
"So you have a new boyfriend?"
These words caught Chimon off guard. Flushing, he sat up straight and said, "uhh n-no. I don't know. Not y-yet." Chimon pulled away, and sat back in his chair. "Don't be nosy!" He said in an uneasy manner.
After another minute of teasing, Chimon got up and left. Aiming for his car, he dialed a number.
"Hello?"
"I hope you're not busy because I'm coming over," Chimon said in a sharp quick tone.
"Alright. I'm here at home," Nanon replied. Then Chimon ended the call without another word. He got in his car and left. He needed a second opinion on all of this. He desperately wanted to be with Perth, but he didn't want to rush into a shitty situation.
