It had been 5 days since U.A High was under quarantine. The students and staff were all doing alright. They had received orders from the Ministry of Health that they could resume their daily routine and schedules as usual the next day, if no case of the virus came up in the school.
Though, a particular class still wasn't happy. Not for the fact that they can resume classes and hero training, but for the fact that they still hadn't heard anything about their friend.
"Where is the damn nerd?!" yelled the blonde student. He had enough of the medical staff avoiding his questions about his friend, as much as he hated to admit that. Five days being stuck inside, five days he tried to hold back his annoyance and anger after being warned by their teacher not to cause trouble to the medical staff.
"I know you're worried about him. But please, trust us doctors." Emu tried to convince him. Deep down he felt bad not being able to disclose status about their friend. Bakugo did not take that well. Although the rest of the class was disturbed by his outburst, they couldn't deny that their friend was right. They needed to know how their dear friend was doing.
"I'm sorry doctor. But, Bakugo is right. We have the right to know Midoriya's condition. Why can't you just tell us?" Iida voiced out. The class nodded their heads in agreement.
"You may have the right if it were for other hospitals or other departments. But not this one. We have a specific policy. And I really hope you guys can understand and just obey." EMu exclaimed, with a sigh at the end.
"That's it then. You guys are from Seito University Hospital, right? If you're not gonna tell us about him, then I'll go to him myself!" The blonde yelled before stomping off to the door. Though his steps were stopped when a white scarf got hold of him.
"Bakugo, stay. The security is going to take you away anyway if you just storm in like that and disturb the public." Aizawa said calmly, tightening the grip of the scarf on his hands as his student was trying to escape.
"Damn it!" His voice muffled but the scarf on his mouth. It was frustrating for him.
"Doctor Emu." Aizawa called out to the young doctor beside him.
Emu got the message. He couldn't hide from the class any longer. They might do anything to get to their friend and it would be chaotic.
He took out his phone and dialed a number. When the person picked up, he stated his objective straight away.
"Dr. Hiiro. How is he doing?"
"Is this about his classmates?"
"Yeah..."
"You know the answer to your question, intern. They can't come here, nor know anything about this department and our job. It's already a pain when the whole country is under the threat of this virus and find out about us. We can't let them know more."
.....
"You're not on speaker, are you?""They snatched my phone, I swear. I apologized. I'm currently trying to take it back." Hiiro could hear Emu was struggling from the other side of the call. He sighed.
"Are you the boss? Listen here, you-" Bakugo was about to curse Hiiro, but he was cut off first.
"You must be Katsuki Bakugo. I assume the whole class is listening right now? Your teacher should be here too." Hiiro said calmly.
Aizawa just let out a hum when his name was called.
"All teenagers are the same. Problematic. But I am a genius doctor. I can cut anything. Including those attitudes of yours."
"You're not that much older than them though." Another voice was heard in the background. "Quiet" was just what he answered before he resumed his talk.
"I can't reveal much. But just know that what I'm about to tell you, you're not gonna like it. Still want to know?"
It was silent for a moment, before Bakugo spoke up, "Just get on with it."
"If you say so. Your friend, Izuku Midoriya, is in critical condition."
The air dropped. The class was in shock. Aizawa and Emu just kept quiet, as they already knew about this. Hiiro continued.
"He's in pain constantly, even right now. Surrounded by too many people will just worsen the situation. He's in extreme distress. I'm sorry to say, but your 'friendship support' can't help in this situation. Any questions?"
It was silent.
"I told you, you won't like it. Emu, take care of them. I need to go to Midoriya."
"Alright. Sorry for the disturbance." The call ended.
"Explain. Now! I thought you said we could trust you with him. I thought you guys were doctors! Why is he in critical condition?!" Bakugo yelled.
Emu kept quiet, he got where his outrage came from. "I'm sorry to break your trust. But I didn't lie when I say we're doing our best. I'm sorry I can't tell you more than what Dr. Hiiro had told you. I have to go now. I was going to remind you not to stress yourself too much and rest well, but I understand if you can't." Those were his last words before leaving Class 1-A dorm. The class was left speechless. Uraraka called out to Bakugo.
"Bakugo. I get that you're upset. We do too. But what you said was too far," she said. Kirishima continued. "You didn't think thoroughly before you let those words come out of your mouth, huh? You may need to apologize to him. Though, I agree that he shouldn't hide Midoriya's condition from us."
Bakugo gritted his teeth. He then stomped off to his room.
