"Bakugo, please leave. You can't be here." Emu exclaimed. He let out a tired sigh
The quarantine was over. Although they were advised not to go outside yet and wait until the virus cases go down first, our blondie decided to sneak out to come and visit his friend at the hospital. His attempt to break into the 'secret department' where Midoriya was supposed to be in failed as he was caught by security.
If you're wondering why would they hold him when he was just visiting the hospital like anybody else? Hiiro and Emu predicted he would come so they asked the security guards to watch out for a certain spiky blonde-haired teenager with red eyes. Although Bakugo came prepared by wearing a cap, a mask, a pair of glasses and a black hoodie to not go unnoticed, the security guard had good eyes.
"I'm already here. You can't make me turn around. So just bring me to Deku, or I'll blow you up." Bakugo threatened. Though Emu wasn't affected in the slightest. He scoffed.
"Are you really a hero in training? I know it's your personality, but threatening civilians? Let alone a doctor who is working hard to save lives?"
"Don't change the topic!" Bakugo grunted in annoyance. They were currently in Emu's office. His slight raise in voice received attention from the people near the room, but they shrugged it away assuming it was just a teenage patient throwing a tantrum.
"I wasn't. Whatever. If you don't want to leave, then just stay here. I won't bring you to your friend, nonetheless." Emu said as he got up to grab an oat bar and hand it to the student who was glaring daggers at him. "You haven't had breakfast, have you? I assume you sneak out right when the sun comes up. Eat this first to fill your stomach. I'll take you to the cafe after I finish my work."
Bakugo just stared at him, before landing his eyes on the oat bar. "Or I can just call Mr. Aizawa to pick you up-". The blondie snatched the oat bar from the doctor's hand and started to munch on it. Emu just smiled before going to his computer to finish his work.
"Whatcha doing?" Emu turned to his side to see Bakugo was right next to him, looking at his computer. It seemed that he had finished his oat bar.
"Just a report. We need to key in reports on every patient that has come and update the report after every appointment to see the progress." The doctor explained. Bakugo just nodded. Emu was amused by his interest in it.
"What are you grinning for?" Bakugo asked in slight annoyance. Something told him that the grin was caused by himself.
"Nothing. Just thought that you are indeed a teenager. You all are." Emu said and chuckled, before his smile died down when he remembered about Midoriya.
"That's why I wasn't pleased to see Midoriya's condition. He must've had a lot on his shoulders that the stress was getting to him too much."
Bakugo looked at him. "Why would you say that?" He asked with pure curiosity. The doctor was silent, trying to figure out how to put his thoughts into words.
"One fact about this virus is that if you were infected, you need to avoid being stressed at all. The stress would cause the pain to worsen. It is hard to detect if one was infected, as the symptom would only show when they are experiencing extreme stress. That's why we always reminded you to rest well and not stress too much when you all were quarantined. And stress was only one of the known factors.
To be honest, we still don't know fully about this virus even though we have been dealing with it for a while. But the same goes to anything out there, really."
Bakugo listened. A slight guilt came rushing to his mind when reminded of what he said to the male doctor at the dorm the other day. He mustered up the courage to speak up.
"I...I apologized. For.. What I said to you the other day."
Emu was taken aback. Not because the student who was always aggressive was apologizing to him. But because he didn't think much of what the student said to him. Seeing Bakugo suddenly feeling guilty because of it, made him smile.
"It's alright. I understand why you felt that." He reassured.
"Anyway, I'm done with my work. Let's take you for brunch. Do you have allergies or preferences?"
"I'm fine with anything."
"Let's go eat, then."
