Today was my first day at arsenal after switching from aston villa and I was terrified. I didn't know anyone at arsenal. I hadn't even talked to any of them, so when I moved everyone was shocked. no one could understand my move but I guess I just did it because I admired everyone at arsenal. yes I guess they're not always top of the league, but I adored the way they played and everyone on the team seemed so sweet, I just hoped I could actually fit in with them.
After I had a meeting with Jonas, he walked me to the training room to meet the physio so that she could see how my body reacts to different exercises. After around 30 minutes, she had me just doing some stretches to test my muscles when the team walked in.
I suppose Beth and the physio were friends, since they hugged when she walked in. "Hi are you the new center mid?" Viv asked as she stepped to Beth. "Yeah I am, nice to meet you." I calmly replied while freaking out inside. I mean I was officially an arsenal player! I could've only dreamed of this(and I did) when I was a kid.
"your y/n right? didn't you play in a charity match with leo Messi?" asked Beth looking amazed
"ahaha yeah I did I don't even know why I got chosen for that, but omg it was so cool to play with him like honestly his talent is astonishing!"
I replied extremely excitedly
"y/n you're actually so talented you're the reason that Aston finished 3rd! and please do come to our party at our place to celebrate the first day back and we will all be there" Beth responded to me.
"wait are you sure, I mean of course I would love to go!" I said excited

after some more small talk the rest of the team had to go out for drills while I got fitted my kit. After a while, and when I had returned to the training area, only Leah was left there and she appeared to have been waiting for me.
"Hey y/n how's your first day going?" asked the captain
"it's great so far, all the staff are so friendly and the whole team seem so sweet!"I said happily.
"that's great i've found that this team is so much more welcoming than others and I hope that you're going to Beth and Vivs party." replied Leah

An hour had passed and Leah and I were on our way out as we realised that we both lived in the same apartment building! She offered to give me a lift in her car as I was going to walk home and we bonded about our favourite bands during the drive. I never thought i'd be able to make friends with her so quick, especially being the captain.
"want to meet around 6:30ish?"asked leah as we planned to go together to the party
"yeah of course! want to go in my car?" I said
"okay!" she replied

Around 3 hours later I had done my hair and makeup and was deciding on what to wear, but Leah texted me and told me to go nice and fancy, so I wore one of my cutest dresses and paired it with a comfy cardigan for warmth.
By the time I was ready, Leah was already knocking on my door, so I walked out and met her.
"woah you're, beautiful" gasped leah and I couldn't help but blush
"well i could say the same myself" I said flirtingly back to her
we stared at each other for a few seconds until Viv rang her asking us to pick up pizza for her

It was only a short car ride to the pizza place and we played music and sung the whole way and it felt so natural with her to not be awkward, she was just a great person to spend time with.
Funnily enough the pizza place was 2 minutes away from Beth and Vivs place so we couldn't even play a full song but we did have a few laughs along the way. I did really enjoy Leah's company, I suppose maybe in a more than friends way? But I couldn't do that, I mean she was the captain.
While I thought all this, me and Leah walked to the door and Manu let us in. The second we walked in, about 10 well dressed girls sprinted to us, quicker than they do in matches, for the pizza.
As the party went on, Leah introduced me to all the players and I sat and talked with Kyra and Vic for around 2 hours
After a while of talking to everyone, Leah became extremely drunk and I guess the girls were right when they told me she was a lightweight. Anyways after 10 minutes of Leah drunkenly dancing I decided to take her home.
"noooo i wanna stayyy" slurred Leah as she tried to run away, so following Beth's shouted advice, I had to carry Leah out over my shoulder.
I carefully strapped her in to the car and as soon as I started driving she fell fast asleep.
I drove in silence for the 20 minute car ride as to not wake her and I carried her up to her apartment after I had parked.
I had taken her key out of her pocket to take her inside and carried her in, closing the door behind me to not let the cold in.
I eventually found her bedroom as it had the same setup as my place and I set her down, but as I did she pulled me into her as she settled into sleep. I was close to pulling away when I was consumed by exhaustion and so I fell asleep in her arms. "goodnight beautiful girl" I whispered to her before I fell asleep unknowing that she had heard me.
