Ive always felt the same- Sofie Lundgaard

Today I started my first day at an english club. I moved from Denmark and I couldn't wait to see my old friend again. I was joining Liverpool and my childhood best friend was there. I mean I was in love with her throughout our entire friendship but I could never tell her that.

I walked into the meeting room to finalise my contract before meeting the physio who would be testing my body reactions to exercise.

No one knew of my transfer yet. I mean obviously my old team knew, but they all had promised to keep it a secret until it was finalised. And until i could tell her...

After my measurements were done, and the physio measured my heart rate while exercising, i was fully in the team. I passed all of the health tests.

I walked into the gym with Ceri as she was planning to introduce me to all the girls.
"Hey guys this is our new player—" she was cut off within seconds by Sofie screaming and running up to me.
"Y/NNNNN OMG YOUVE MOVED TO LIVERPOOL GIRL WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME" Sofie shouted while running up to me and picking me up.
"Well I guess that's the introduction then. But everyone make sure to welcome y/n!" Ceri said with a surprised face at Sofie's reaction.

After a few pleasant greetings and chats with all of the girls, me and Sofie could finally talk to each other. We caught up on the past year apart and I couldn't help but stare into her majestical and hypnotising blue eyes while she talked.

She soon found out that I had moved into the same apartment building as her but just was 2 floors higher than her in a slightly bigger place than her.

"Omg Y/N we should SO go bowling tonight!!"
Sofie said giggling as we remembered the bowling games after matches and training when we were younger.

As training ended, and I talked to a few other of the girls, we all agreed to go bowling together in one of their families' bowling alleys.
I found out that Sophie Haug lived just across the street from me and Sofie, and she kindly gave us a lift home. We all chatted about missing our families in Scandinavia before she dropped me and Sofie at our apartments.
We all planned to meet at 7, but Sophie said that she was going to pick up Grace, so me and Sofie decided to just go in my car.

Around 2 Hours had passed and I had put on some flattering jeans and a cute top with some docs. The second that it hit 7, I left my apartment and headed to Sofie's.

I knocked on her door and I felt the same as I did when we were 15. The way her hair fell and the same technique with her makeup, her perfectly curled lashes and the way her clothes fit her just amazed me. She snapped me out of my trance when she slammed her door shut as she always did.

"ready to go?" I asked her while subtly admiring her. She walked in front of me while nodding as she began to talk about whatever she was talking about. I was hypnotised by her voice as we made our way to my car.

"YOU DIDNT ACTUALLY GET AN ASTON!!" Sofie screamed in shock as she saw our childhood dream car in my spot.
I couldn't help but smile at her reaction as I handed her the keys to let her drive.

She had no hesitation as she sprinted to the drivers seat and began to drive the second I closed the passenger door. Throughout the entire drive, Sofie admired the incredible car.

Before we knew it, we were at the bowling alley and walked to the rest of the group. We were greeted by smiling faces and immediately began.

All of us played in duos so me and Sofie were together, and throughout the games, we all
ordered dinner.

Three hours later, we had finished our last game and Sofie and I were the clear winners. After some banter with the team we all went our separate ways and I drove me and Sofie
home.

As we approached our apartments, Sofie suggested a sleepover 'just like the old times' and I would never say no to that.

She grabbed all of her things for the night and arrived at mine 10 minutes later and I had set up the sofa for us to sleep on and I got some snacks for us.

I let her choose the movie and she chose our childhood favourite 'cars'

Throughout the movie, Sofie got increasingly close to me up to the point that she was snuggled into my chest. I couldn't help it anymore. I had to tell her.

"Sofie, I know you might hate me for this but I have to tell you." I said then taking a deep breath I pushed out the rest of it "I've been in love with you since we were 12"

I was met with nothing. Then something. A smile.

"Y/N i've always felt the same, I only moved here to spare my own feelings, I've loved you for years!" she said exasperated while giggling

For the next hour we confessed all of our subtle hints to each other that we never got as we promised to never hide something from the other again.

I finally told the girl i've loved for 10 years that I love her.

This move to liverpool was perfect.
