We're not over- Leah Williamson PART3

I've been at City for 3 months now and its been incredible! I've started every game and playing mostly full matches.

However Leah has decided to call me every single day. Three times a day every day.

She left me endless voicemails and messages but I wouldn't listen to them. Why should I? So I deleted them as they came in.

I've moved on anyway, I mean as soon as I moved here I fell in love with Mary Fowler! I mean how could I not, she was an incredible player and an even better person. And her aussie accent just topped it all off.

But today I dreaded. All the girls on my team knew exactly what happened even though some played with her for england (I rejected the call up) so they also knew her side of the story before she knew the truth, and they knew it was bullshit.

Today was our match against arsenal and whoever won today took a solid lead, what we prioritised in this moment was the goal difference. But i'd have to face her.

As we were at home in the Etihad, we all went out to warm up as I heard the commentators speculating about my future, after all my contract at arsenal was up and I was very clear about my preference for City, I knew i'd move to City if they'd have me. And everyone else could tell.

I jogged towards Mary as she jumped on me as we started giggling about some of the signs, most that just took the piss out of Kerstin being banned from a match due to swearing at the united fans, and then we properly warmed up.

Towards the end of the warm up as we did drills and I raced Hempo, I felt piercing eyes on me as I returned to Mary before heading back in to get ready, the second I turned, I saw Williamson staring right at me.

Soon enough we were out again and taking team photos, I ran to position as Alex and Kim shook hands as I prepared myself, i'm gonna face Williamson. I'm gonna destroy her this match.

Two hours later, I did exactly that. Throughout the match, Williamson switched with Steph when she wasn't being tough with me and it was hilarious to see. I scored 2 Goals against Manu, who I was still close with, and assisted another. We won this match 5-1 as Vic scored last minute, but we had enough goals. We were comfortably top of the league and I couldn't be happier. As now City and I could announce our 3 year contract tomorrow.

I've left Williamson and everything about her behind me and I've managed to maintain my friendships with the other arsenal girls.

I was my old self again, after weeks of depression, I no longer felt anything for Williamson.

As I went to get interviewed at the end, Williamson came from behind me saying my name. I ignored her. I have no reason to talk to her.

Leah's Pov:

I can't believe this, I was so excited for this match as I could see Y/N again and she wouldn't even look in my direction, after all she was too busy flirting with Mary Fowler.

Jonas told me to do the interview for arsenal, so I had to be behind y/n. I had to try something.

As we waited to be interviewed as they just chatted a bit with Viv Miedema on her return, I tapped Y/N's shoulder

"can I talk to you?" I asked her as she ignored me.
"y/n please" I said as she walked to her interview.

Will I get another chance?

As I finished my interview, I saw y/n signing some fans shirts while taking pictures before the stewards made them leave and so I followed her into the tunnel next to some staff rooms, just ahead of the changing rooms.

"Y/N, Y/N!" I screamed after her as I ran to grab her shoulder.

With a sudden turn she pulled me into a small staff room as she began, "what the fuck do you want Williamson? Can you not just leave me alone and let me be happy?" she screamed as I just stared.

Williamson. She's never called me that. Even in our arguments while we were together we never went as far as just last names.

I still couldn't give up on her. I loved y/n i'm not giving up on her.

"I read it. I read your letter, I found the box" I told her, just for a second her face softened before she put her wall back up.

"too little too late." she brutally responded trying to get past me.

"no".

"no?" she asked

"no. you're not leaving again. i'm fighting for you this time. I need to fight for you this time, im not going to be replaced by a 21 year old." I told her sternly.

She looked me up and down contemplating it.

"why should I trust you again. Why should I trust that you won't believe your delusions over me?" she questioned me tentatively.

" you shouldn't. I fucked up but this just can't be our end, i'll do anything y/n, anything to prove to you that I love you and always will" I said while she just stared at me with her beautiful brown eyes.

"I'm signing for City." she simply stated.

I should've expected this.

"I'll accommodate to that then, I can get the train or drive here every week, I'll do the work y/n I swear" I told her as she kept on looking at me.

Slowly she nodded.

"okay" she said as she walked out.

Your pov

I said okay. I'll try one more time with Leah. Leah. My Leah.

I walked back into the changing rooms as mary gave me a nod that told me everything, she was okay with it. It was all good.

The second I left the changing rooms and headed out, Leah was there.

For the next two months, Leah travelled up on her spare days and our relationship is almost back to normal! We've not said anything official yet but I trust her again. I love Leah Williamson and I don't see that changing any time soon.
We're not over.

A/N guys so sorry for not posting for a week but i've been super busy as my parents are adopting a baby rn!

Also the barca match was brilliant as I was the only barca fan in the area i was in and i loved it omg!!
